Hope this is ok, I was getting withdrawal symptoms!

OP posts:
LadyBiscuit · 11/05/2010 21:13

Thanks MmeL - sorry for being a drip.

Right, who wants slightly smudgy glass of lukewarm lidl prosecco anyone? Let's toast gordon and his rubbish leadership and the inevitable slide like a teatray on the titanic to the tories.

I am comforting myself with Johann Hari (not literally) - one cock up and they're out

HerHonesty · 11/05/2010 21:13

what do we think first scandal/travesity which shows them for their true colours?

Hassled · 11/05/2010 21:13

LadyB - I'm feeling somewhat pathetically juvenile and haven't had the day you've had. Drink the Prosecco and be rude to people as much as you want.

InmyheadIminParis · 11/05/2010 21:12

George Osborne is chancellor. Shoot me now.

GetOrfMoiLand · 11/05/2010 21:12

to LadyB. You poor bugger. I hope you are all right.

Sophiable - I can't see the wood for the trees for depression, mate.

SpringHeeledJack · 11/05/2010 21:12

Ah well. At least we won't have to watch any more BBC news montages for a bit after this week

taffetacat · 11/05/2010 21:11

How long before it all goes tits up then?

ImSoNotTelling · 11/05/2010 21:11

I really must go to bed. So glad we don't all have to have a fight

Here's fingers crossed that the lib dems finish their meeting soon, and that we don't have long to wait until we find out the terms of the deal, and that eggy has made the deal of a lifetime...

Or that maybe there isn't a deal after all... (I think there is though isn't there)

TheStraitsofWTF · 11/05/2010 21:11

Oh, thread moved fast. I am not at all sure what I think of current situation, so am not going to venture an opinion until I have one.

BeenBeta · 11/05/2010 21:10

The Lib Dems still have to have their ratifcation meetings to formally agree the deal with the Cons.

There is still a chance it might be rejected.

Think happy thoughts.

MmeLindt · 11/05/2010 21:10

Sneaky (((hugs))) for LadyB.

Don't let it get to you.

Heathcliffscathy · 11/05/2010 21:10

I know you're all miserable still but I'm going to persist with the gallows humour. Twitter is a great comfort at times like this :

Hope GB has had a massive shit in the No10 toilet

SamCam is auditioning for Dorothy

Fucking Hell BBC what's with the music? Have we elected a Power Ranger?

TheStraitsofWTF · 11/05/2010 21:08

No, I don't agree, onebat. Here in Scotland the libdems were instrumental in ensuring no university tuition fees, etc - it sure as hell doesn't feel like a tory vote to me, and at the last election it felt more to the left than a labour vote sometimes.

Heathcliffscathy · 11/05/2010 21:08

i don't want to row, but am frustrated as anything that you all can't see that this had to happen to labour...they will be so much the better and stronger for it! and really indignant at accusations of libdem = tory...SO not true, to my mind the libdems have been far left of labour for a long time now.

Francagoestohollywood · 11/05/2010 21:08

You wish Beta! What's this hatred towards Euro, do you want to talk about it?

Thank you mmelindt and GOML. Sorry for being pathetically juvenile. I want to hug you. My poor sister is in hospital with tubes hanging out of her and I'm so bloody cross at the unfairness of the world it makes me want to scream. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHH

Sorry, this isn't all about me I think getting horribly drunk and maudlin and being really rude to people on the Daily Fail site is probably a better idea

MrJustAbout · 11/05/2010 21:07

So Shirley Williams was an embarrassed tory?

Hmm ...

MmeLindt · 11/05/2010 21:07

BeenBeta
It is how it has always been. The Left throw better parties that the Right.

onebatmother · 11/05/2010 21:07

What Getorf said. Had to express it tho, briefly. Was in danger of imploding.

But certainly don't want argy- bargy, quite agree.

Heathcliffscathy · 11/05/2010 21:06

proles it depends very much on the terms of the deal doesn't it?

youngvisitor is right, the party haven't agreed it, and NC can't go it alone in that respect (the libdem constitution is very democratic).
