thanks ImSoNotTelling but I do mean it.

Before the election we would not have been unhappy with the (relative) position we are now in. Wouldn't swap places with the Tories.

We are doing well in the face of a hostile press. And best of all Gordon gets a role shaping things on his way out...very fitting for a majestic servant of the country/party.

Indeed,TD. It's depressing because you can just imagine the roasting she would get from the press should she become leader, you can almost see the entire story mapped out before it never happens....

When Harman was younger and pretty they patronised her like hell - did anyone see/ remember Portillo's poetry like address to her as a flower? Now she is a bit more mature they treat her like a feminist devil and squeezed an absolute leadership ambition denial out of her. She should have kept quiet and postered like the young turks do.

Ack - I haven't taken my eyes off the news for 2 minutes since Thursday night and I do this afternoon and something else happens!

I assume bets are on for next leader? No fucking chance for Harman I assume? Do we assume Miliband 1 or 2, or is there someone else in the wings?

TDiddy - thats word for word what DH said when he walked in.

Mme L -In fact he's a bit scary atm so have just given him LOTS of food.

We had a small discussion about it before he sat down to eat which concluded with " I can't talk to you about this, can I? "

He is huddled over Grauniad ( ha! we get it delivered - I won that one ) has his back to me I am pulling faces and doing a merry jig
