Not a Tory - but just watching his speech - I am impressed that he is pushing the coalition with the LD's as this would not be an easy option. Normally think he is smarmy but I am not quite so scared now that he will be our PM!

very good speech. I don't think he is smarmy. Blair fooled us all, but if you look back at Blair you can see that he was obviously an actor, spinning us all the way. I don't think that Cameron is an actor, he looks genuine to me.

Gordon Brown doesn't even come close to Davey Boy!!!!

I think it could work. He & Clegg seem like-minded in many ways, but it depends if they can get their parties behind them.

I fucking (sorry) loved that speech, it made my vote worthwhile.
I actually felt proud and wanted this country to be better, it was a real speech.

Feeling lots of love for DC now

I really hope it works.

Not guts, desperation!

Despite this supposedly 'historic' swing from Lab to Tory, it was still a very poor outcome for the Tories, considering how annoyingly cocksure Cam was for so very long before this night.

I am still extremely worried and depressed about the prospect of Cameron as PM. A rousing speech written by his spin doctors does not make up for the horror of Tory policy.

I was very proud of Cameron then.

He will make a fine Prime Minister.
