Hello

OP posts:

and yet that bumblingness he shows on public meeting, totally disapers when he puts his PM hat on, he never falters during a speech and is very moving IMO

EnchantedWithGordon · 07/05/2010 20:50

I've met him and found that 'bumblingness' about him totally endearing!

Penthesileia · 07/05/2010 20:50

On a positive note (sorry to barge in), perhaps this is the opportunity Labour need to revitalise the party? I regret very much the way the GB has been perceived by the media, etc. Unfair, IMO. But there it is. He took over the leadership at a bad time.

The Labour Party now needs to make some lemonade with these lemons.

CatIsSleepy · 07/05/2010 20:50

i think gordon will step down, am not sure it will keep the tories out though

love that pic of Darling

DavidHameron · 07/05/2010 20:49

I really like Gordon but if him standing down keeps the tories out then I think its the lesser of 2 evils.

I Think no matter what happens now, GB will go, but i like him, I hope someone has told him that loads more people have joined the Labour party today, make him feel better!

Getting all soft in my old age!! Wonder what he is doing, as apparently lib dems and cons having a very hush hush secret meeting!

DavidHameron · 07/05/2010 20:43

Alistair Darling

EnchantedWithGordon · 07/05/2010 20:43

thats OK, I think he would compliment my hair pretty well TBH!!

LadyBlaBlah · 07/05/2010 20:43

Lempik is a freakoid from Freakzone

CatIsSleepy · 07/05/2010 20:43

here's milli

right that's enough of that

hmm not sure about Zac now, he looked cute on the tv last night but looks very tory in photos, rather off-putting

Beachcomber · 07/05/2010 20:43

How's it going lefties? Checking back in after having mopped up the carnage that was my house after the election/MN addiction of the last couple of days.

Also just wanted to say huge thanks to everyone on the lefties threads for the laughs, explanations, sharing, etc.

Am off to see what else is going on in politics but will probably avoid the bigoted Scottish threads .

See you in a bit.

MissMarjoribanks · 07/05/2010 20:42

Ugh, 1 1/2 hours sleep last night and v busy day.

Don't know if this has been mentioned further up the thread, but does anyone else think we're heading for Cameron as PM with Cable as Chancellor? If so, does slimy George know he's for the chop?

SpringHeeledJack · 07/05/2010 20:41

I'd do Darling with his fascinating eyebrow/hair combination

CatIsSleepy · 07/05/2010 20:41

ooh one of those links didn't work too well

still, you know what i mean

SpringHeeledJack · 07/05/2010 20:40

I was wondering about whether they should get rid of Gordon, or hang on- I think he didn't reeeeeally get the drubbing we could have anticipated, and after a couple of months of the Posh Young Twats, surely he's going to look like even more of a statesmanly type?

so if we do get another election soonish, he'll be best placed to fight it again for labour?
