he is saying: so ok, now try to form a minority govt.

i'm sorry but PLEASE extrapolating like that is just so wrong.

Britain needs a massive electoral overhaul - it's one of the few things I agree with Nick Clegg on. First past the post is outdated and undemocratic. What we need is proportional representation.

BTW, it clearly said on my polling card that voting was from 7am to 10pm...

please please please try to HEAR what is being said.

he has NOT come out on the tory side. he has HONOURED his pledge to the UK that whoever gets the most seats needs to TRY to form a minority govt.

he has also emphasised the the electoral system is broken and reform is an absolute must.

i get SO fucking disheartened with kneejerk and in fact inaccurate interpretations. in a situation as complex as this they are worse than useless.

Nessa - and the elections are also funded by private donations, which works very badly for the little parties. Another election so soon would quite probably be utterly infeasible for, say, the Greens.

And would probably be economically disastrous for LibDems. (Am I right about that?? Someone else come and say.)

Lance Price (who he?) on the BBC has just suggested that Cons should be allowed to form a minority government and Lab and Lib should be a constructive opposition (protect frontline services etc.). Another election in a couple of years. Sounds good to me, but it ain't gonna happen.
