I'm glad I think.

Its good that there will have to be cooperation.

Worried what it will be though.

OP posts:

I would like to see a tory/lib dem coalition with GB standing down as leader of opposition. I voted lib dem butdont want labour in charge again.

BythewayItsStillMe · 07/05/2010 10:29

She wouldn't dare complain, I'm the mother of her only Grandson and her DS stood up to her finally last time we saw her... she'll behave!
(And I'm making fresh apple pies)

Whats NC's statement going to be about? Do we know?
Is it just an explanation about the hung parliament thing or his plans for who his new best friend will be?

BrokenBananaTantrum · 07/05/2010 10:25

statement from downing street on bbc now

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 07/05/2010 10:22

Great thanks. Agree with Sophable totally about Lib Dems number of seats for 23% of the vote. I will be incredibly hacked off if we don't get some kind of reform.

animula · 07/05/2010 10:22

sophable - agree with you on both posts.

Twit · 07/05/2010 10:21

10:30 I think

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 07/05/2010 10:21

I've just read somewhere about Clegg making a statement soon, any idea what time he's expected please ?

BrokenBananaTantrum · 07/05/2010 10:19

coffee 2 sugars thanks for asking

i think she'll buy it

but more importantly do you care if she doesn't?

McDreamy · 07/05/2010 10:18

oh yes please Bytheway - can I have a coffee? Biscuit anyone?

BythewayItsStillMe · 07/05/2010 10:17

Do you think she's buy it?
'Sorry the toilets a bit minging/ kitchen floor looks like hansel and gretel's playground, I just could not move from infront of the tv all day!'

Worth a try I guess

Anyone fancy a brew while we wait?

SecretPollingBooth · 07/05/2010 10:15

who will be pm & wghen will we know?

BrokenBananaTantrum · 07/05/2010 10:14

leave the house your MIL might visit once a year but the last hung parliment was 1974

OrmRenewed · 07/05/2010 10:13

Lib-lab - ooh that takes me back to the 70s

BythewayItsStillMe · 07/05/2010 10:11

Oh I should really be cleaning the house before MILs annual visit... a hung parliament just seems so much more interesting....

Heathcliffscathy · 07/05/2010 10:08

i really hope that the country now gets it:

a party can get nearly a quarter of the popular vote (libdems 23%) and that is absolutely and totally not reflected in terms of the number of MPs.

it really is a disgrace!

piratecat · 07/05/2010 10:04

sophable, good as anything right now!!

EndangeredSpecies · 07/05/2010 10:03

I don't scorn it sophable. Mercury causes havoc. The election is just reflecting people's general uncertainty.

BrokenBananaTantrum · 07/05/2010 10:03

lib / lab does sound like a new breed of dog

OhYouBadBadKitten · 07/05/2010 10:02

half an hour???? aaargh - I have to go out in 15 minutes. I've waited up almost all night to see what happens and I'm going to miss NC's statement

BrokenBananaTantrum · 07/05/2010 10:02

did not know that NC is going to make a statement on half an hour

i'm nervously excited

octothechildherder · 07/05/2010 10:01

Ask him to come back and see if he wants to have a little chat about what he may do! We can talk to him about sleepless nights and tantrums.

McDreamy · 07/05/2010 10:01

Interesting question Banana - I think there is more chance of a Lib/Lab (sounds like a new dog bred to me) coalition than a Lib/Con.

Heathcliffscathy · 07/05/2010 10:00

can i just interject:

i know that astrology is scorned by most, but interestingly mercury is retrograde at the moment. this implies there will be no clarity until it turns direct on 15th may.

EndangeredSpecies · 07/05/2010 10:00

Last week NC said there was no way he'd do a deal with Labour, and even if he did they'd still be a minority coalition based on results as they stand. He's going to make a statement in half an hour.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 07/05/2010 09:59

join labour I think but would only work if other smaller parties came on board too.
