Holy shit! Hilary Benn's a dead ringer for Nicola Sturgeon!

And my cat has a hair ball.

Jaquelinehyde · 07/05/2010 00:40

How can they be showing green as having won Brighton when they haven't even begun counting yet? This may make me look really stupid but surely they can't announce it as a definate win until after they have counted?

LadyBlaBlah · 07/05/2010 00:40

I gotta go.
The lefties had the funniest threads tonight, Tory thread was desperately dull, so at least we won in one way!

Adios amigos

expatinscotland · 07/05/2010 00:40

I met one Scottish chap who was a Tory.

One.

ZephirineDrouhin · 07/05/2010 00:39

Yes you're probably right. Murdoch far simpler explanation.

jenny60 · 07/05/2010 00:39

why aren't we seeing the brighton reesult live? It's historic.

animula · 07/05/2010 00:39

Yes, sure you're right about Gove. Feel must find one to hate less. Though perhaps it's not worth the effort.

Laughing at Clegg-Cameron identification error. Shinier with shorter sentences.

Good grief @ Hackney South.

Beachcomber · 07/05/2010 00:37

Am still here trying to explain what is going on to French DH who has only just found out that we don't have democracy PR in the UK. He is

onebatonevote · 07/05/2010 00:36

Chunk of youth may have gone Tory - but not the kind who would turn up late after 3 hours in student bar, shurely?

SpringHeeledJack · 07/05/2010 00:36

Molesworth - quite an admission. No, me too. But am sure it will still be grim in education-land.

I think re. young persons it's the effect of the cappuccino years + historical amnesia + rebellion. But it should be radical politics, shouldn't it? All the ones I know are involved in Left/environmental so ... don't know where the young con voters are hiding.

ZephirineDrouhin · 07/05/2010 00:35

I had a horrible epiphany about it tonight. I think Clegg may have attracted the attention of the Reality TV demographic in the TV debates, and then blown it all by saying that not all immigrants were bad etc, so they all turned to Cameron, who in appearences is almost indistinguishable from Clegg but shinier and with shorter sentences.

Is that a little too cynical?

monkeysmama · 07/05/2010 00:35

What's the story with all these lost votes? Sounds like Hanging Chads .

policywonk · 07/05/2010 00:35

Brighton being called for the Greens - huzzah!

MarionCole · 07/05/2010 00:35

Right, brew finished, I'm offski. Going to listen to R4 in bed (and may be back on my iPhone later).

Group hug in the morning.

SpringHeeledJack · 07/05/2010 00:35
