So supposing for a moment you knew someone so stupid they had lost their polling card only a matter of days after it was delivered. What would youtell that stupid person about whether they can vote?

You don't need a polling card to vote - it's provided to make it easier for the clerks to find you on the list .

there is a system in place for stupid people. if you wear a big sign around your neck and tell evryone you meet how stupid you are they'll let you vote anyway.

They do put an indellible stamp on your forehead though. just s everyone knows.

I've never shown a polling card or any ID for that matter, think it will be fine. So technically that person wouldn't be stupid at all. Obviously it's hypothetical though....

You don't need your polling card. If you don't know where to vote ring the council (or ask your neighbours).

My polling card says you don't need to take it with you, just makes it easier for them if you do.

Just go down to your local polling station without it, you should be on the list there, maybe just take some ID.

I don't think you need the actual card, take some ID to the polling station and they should have your name on a list.
