Just starting this so that we can all post our thoughts throughout the day.

My wish for today is that as many people as possible GO OUT AND VOTE.

I cannot vote as I have been living abroad for over 15 years so if anyone wants to vote for me, I would like to vote for Gordon Brown. Voting by MN proxy

Do you think that any real celebrities have something better to do tonight?

toccatanfudge · 07/05/2010 00:20

sorry this is going to sound random I know - but status update on FB about the election and a certain candidate has just sent me into bit of a jibbering wreck again....

But I could ask if people could refrain from making post that they metaphorically of course as you can actually mean these things of wanting to do physical harm, particularly in relation to necks, of political figures - regardless of their vileness.

DreamsInBinary · 07/05/2010 00:20

I'm bowing out to watch tv in bed.

See you tomorrow morning ladies...

gingerblonde · 07/05/2010 00:19

"Presidential look"? Is that code for botox?

Cartoose · 07/05/2010 00:19

Heh at Joan Collins

Stretch · 07/05/2010 00:18

"nuclear family" Grrrr

DitaVonCheese · 07/05/2010 00:18

Joan Collins, for example ...

DitaVonCheese · 07/05/2010 00:17

Holly I agree? Wtf? Who was in charge of the guest list for that gig?

DC would be a good pm because "he has a presidential look"

flowerybeanbag · 07/05/2010 00:17

"He has a sense of humour and a presidential look" says Joan Collins.

?????!!!!!!

Oh well in that case....

Alibabaandthe40tories · 07/05/2010 00:17

Well yes probably TAF, but I think I would have hung around at 8 myself.

All these slebs are hysterical, preening away in the background behind Andrew Neil etc.

Was that Heston, couldn't work out who it was!

HollyGoHeavily · 07/05/2010 00:17

Does anyone on here give a monkeys what Joan Collins thinks about the election result???

Stretch · 07/05/2010 00:16

Yes, David Milliband for PM!!!

dreamylady · 07/05/2010 00:16

PortBlacksandVoter · 07/05/2010 00:16

x posts Holly

PortBlacksandVoter · 07/05/2010 00:15

Why Why Why the celebs??? What'd the point of a barrage full of famous folk? Why go down this road??

HollyGoHeavily · 07/05/2010 00:14

Jeez - enough of the boat with the pissed celebrities....

toccatanfudge · 07/05/2010 00:14

yes but Ali - she turned up at 9.15 and realised she'd have to queue,

Wouldn't you have expected to be able to vote if you'd got there at 9.15?

PortBlacksandVoter · 07/05/2010 00:13

God it's the three 'wise' monkeys.....

Kaloki · 07/05/2010 00:13

Haha, Heston Blumenthal's face!!!

MumofOscar · 07/05/2010 00:13

HalfMumHalfBigot Lurrrrrrrvvvve the name!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 07/05/2010 00:12

thanks MmeLindt. that is sad.

HollyGoHeavily · 07/05/2010 00:12

Oh dear - the BBC are reporting that Penistone is one of the constituencies that has turned people away. That is a traditionally strong Labour area where boundaries have been redrawn and the Conservatives have been making a real push for a win. If the vote is close there is going to be a huge stink...

gaelicsheep · 07/05/2010 00:12

Lol Stretch - I'm glad I'm not the only one with idiot family members on FB. I'd like to disown my DB frequently.

Alibabaandthe40tories · 07/05/2010 00:12

Interesting what these two are now saying on BBC. They had been to vote 2 or 3 times but always found a queue and didn't wait.

Puts a slightly different perspective on it, although still shocking that there has been no consistancy in how it's been dealt with.
