Just starting this so that we can all post our thoughts throughout the day.

My wish for today is that as many people as possible GO OUT AND VOTE.

I cannot vote as I have been living abroad for over 15 years so if anyone wants to vote for me, I would like to vote for Gordon Brown. Voting by MN proxy

Did I hear right - were the first words in Hazel Blears' speech "fly my pretties"?

mspotatochip · 07/05/2010 04:18

no they don't have seats (thank god!) but they do have seats in Europe....

Tolalola · 07/05/2010 04:17

oooh you poor lot, no idea how you're all still awake - I'm on the other side of the Atlantic so it's only 11.15 on Thursday night here and I'm already completely knackered!

toccatanfudge · 07/05/2010 04:17

Tory have gained 39 seats now - and still only just over half way through.....

ASecretLemonadeDrinkerDAVE · 07/05/2010 04:16

Does th BNP curernetly have seats? Or did they win something to do with the european thing? Poor ol' Dimbleby needs tucking in bed with a hot water bottle and a teddy bear! Funny old business with the recounts in N.I, hope Sinn Fein get it

caramelwaffle · 07/05/2010 04:16

i can't believe it's tomorrow already with NO discernible result

toccatanfudge · 07/05/2010 04:15

lib dem vote is now up 1.2% though....

Kaloki · 07/05/2010 04:14

Got MIL coming over sometime later today.. oh god.. kill me now!

caramelwaffle · 07/05/2010 04:14

Good grief the birds have started singing outside!

SHADUUUUUUP !

Alibabaandthe40tories · 07/05/2010 04:14

TAF - agree it is just awful that the seats don't translate AT ALL out of votes for Lib Dem.

I am in favour of moving to larger constituancies (sp - I know) and then making up another chunk of the house with MPs from a party list voted for under a PR system. It would redress the balance significantly while still checking the rise of parties like the BNP.

toccatanfudge · 07/05/2010 04:12

I am going to be a Zombie in the morning...........I don't care - I'll live........and you never know I may actually sleep really well tomorrow (or should that be tonight?)

caramelwaffle · 07/05/2010 04:12

Really wrong IMO toccata !

Kaloki · 07/05/2010 04:11

tolalola they are definitely going a bit loopy! It's really odd, I'm getting tired so keep doing a double take when they say something strange!

Kaloki · 07/05/2010 04:10

No, thank god lemonade

Alibabaandthe40tories · 07/05/2010 04:10

This is so interesting - and poor Jeremy Vine and his swingometer are almost obselete because the results are so variable.

Tolalola · 07/05/2010 04:10

no, no bnp seats yet, thank goodness.

think all the bbc announcers are losing the plot...

caramelwaffle · 07/05/2010 04:10

No seats ASLD

toccatanfudge · 07/05/2010 04:09

Look at these figures so far though

Con - 159 seats 5,300,917 votes (35.8%)
Lab - 123 seats 4,020,087 votes (27,2%)
Lib - 23 seats 3,283,554 votes (22.1%)

that's what's bloody wrong with our voting - just 800,000 votes makes the difference of 100 seats

caramelwaffle · 07/05/2010 04:08

Oops x-post I meant "stick that up your...."

ASecretLemonadeDrinkerDAVE · 07/05/2010 04:08

has the bnp got any seats yet?

caramelwaffle · 07/05/2010 04:07
Grin
ASecretLemonadeDrinkerDAVE · 07/05/2010 04:07

I am very suprised at the labour support, I really thought they would be coming up third.

toccatanfudge · 07/05/2010 04:06

0404The Times highlights one of the night's firsts: "At a stroke, Britain now has its first two Asian female MPs."

Stick that up your beep beep beep BNP
