Where have you slotted *voting* into your schedule tomorrow?

I am doing it first thing in the morning so that I don't run out of time later in the day and waste my vote!

Have you planned at what point you will be voting tomorrow or will you just go when it takes your fancy?

I so hope we wake up to a sunny day on Friday with lovely blue skies!

I can't decide....get out the house v early and vote with dd2 and grumpy dd3....or leave work on time and thus have time to go vote then pick them up.....I'm going for the latter option I think. There is a polling place at the end of our road but it's not our polling station (WHY NOT?) so I have to take a diversion Grrrrh!

Undecided. May slip in on the way to work but that will depend on what time I'm up at! Otherwise once I've dropped my car at home.

Thank you greensnail and everyone else...you have just saved me a load of hassle and given me at least one interesting thing to do with the children tomorrow! I was going to wait until evening when someone could watch the children for half an hour

i will have gone to work before polling station opens, but hopefully it will still be open when i get back from the pub in evening.

hopefully dh will forget i am going to pub and not vote during the day, thereby disenfranchised. we do not have similar political views.

Ds's school is our polling station, so instead of dropping him off in the morning we'll pop in to vote and then he'll come into work with me. So it'll be about 8.30.

First thing in the morning after dropping DD at the childminder (poling station is opposite childminder) and before going to work. Around 7.30am

We decided to come home from the office together with DH, pick up DS from nursery, and then vote en route home.

My parents always took me to the polling booth, so I insist on taking my DS.

Yes, fairly certain I had DD in a sling last time I voted (she was definitely with me, but small possibility she was in the pram).

Well I shall be voting after I have:

  1. Printed off the medical emergency proxy form at a friends house as we do not currently have a working printer

2.Visited DH in the hospital to get a doctor to sign the form

  1. Been to the electoral services department in the city register office for them to verify it

All this with 4DCs in tow as their school is a polling station.

Oh and I know DH wants to vote for a different party to my choice, who last time had less than 10% of the vote

Can you take the DC with you? I would prefer to vote during the day if I could but the little ones are not in pre-school (because the school it is attached to is a polling station) so I would have all 3. Can you take babies in slings into the booth?

I have voted by post but am DH's proxy.

I usually try to do it with the dc - I want them to see us voting. I want them to consider it the norm to vote, and not be apathetic non-voters when they grow up. Unfortunately too many afterschool activities tomorrow evening, so will have to vote between nursery and school pickups with just ds2 in tow.

There is bog all to do that early in the morning, so I may as well.

I will be doing it straight after breakfast as we live just round the corner from the school, which is shut due to it being a polling station.

I will be going at 9am after dropping DS1 off at scholl and DS2 of at playschool. I am so sad that I have been thinking about it for a while and even have my polling card in my bag ready incase I forget it in the mad morning dash!

I am slightly concerned DH won't make it back home from York in time to vote. I did make him take his voting card with him so he can go there on his way back (rather than waste a whole 5 minutes coming back first)

Probably on the way to pick up the DC's from school... which reminds me, I need to find our polling cards and check the venue as I'm presuming its the usual church hall but I haven't actually checked.
