the fact is that black people are in a minority and clearly need to be encouraged to vote. it's the same in other countries too, look at America. When Obama was voted in the number of black people voting rose dramatically... which means that al this time they haven't been voting.

if you want to help campaign against the BNP, then google 'hope not hate' - they will provide lists to enable phone canvassing of the great people of barking and dagenham, many of whom, including a young single mum of 3 in a revolting flat with mould everywhere, siad she was desperate to be adequately housed, that her children were ill from the damp and the mould, but that 'I'm not interested in the BNP, I'm not racist' - that people in such extremes of poverty can stick to their principles and maintain their dignity is just so awe inspiring. i cried when i watched that girl on TV - think it was dispatches last week. WRT Older working class women

They used to be; my Dad used to help escort older (usually female) voters to the polling booths: it was organised by a political party but not only for their voters IYSWIM; knowing that the same people are involved there's a fair chance it still exists.

Of course the raitonale was that non tory voetrs are less likely to turn out in bad weather (DAd not Labour either) and we were in a Tory stronghold (probably alwyas will be, though have moved away anyhow)

Am cackling at the BNP vision of vicious Third World nations plunging their soft-bellied First World counterparts into anarchy. The shock troops from Africa will be along any time now, people! Just as soon as they can stump up the cash - debt repayments don't half eat into the war budget.

Most parties probably have a fairly open policy of repatriating illegal immigrants, especially if they are criminals.

What the ytend not to have is a policy for repatriating no-whites (ie not, by and large, the Swiss or Americans in the financial sector, for example) who are here legitimately and may even have been born here.

Don't agree with you, DP, but I don't think this thread should be deleted as people have requested. I am glad to live in a country where all can air their views (even if I find them not to my liking).

To come back to one of your original points, though, DP (about OBV) - and I think others have picked up on this - personally I think that it's good to target ANY group with a poor record for voting, and to try to encourage them to change that. Not quite sure why it outrages you. Older working class women are another group who apparently are less likely to vote than average (so I read once), so of course, they ought to be targeted too.

Why is anyone even entertaining the idea of trying to debate this with this troll.....it's boring me now
