This election is your chance to give power to the only political party who will put the interests of British people first.

Our heritage and culture will be celebrated first..

Christianity will be promoted, the BNP will not allow the UK to become an Islamic state

you will not be forgottan like you have been under Labour..

The 3 main parties will continue to suck up to minorities....that's the way it is now...it will never change unless the BNP get some power.

It is perfectly acceptable in this country to have organisations like OBV...(Operation Black Vote)...which is funded by the tax payer....no one would dream of saying anything about that...

Why is that ok..?...ask yourself that..

Vote BNP and bring back some sanity to this country...before it's too late.

OBV

I'm not really sure what is wrong with a council advertising a "Winter Festival" actually. Sounds perfectly reasonable to me.

mrsruffallo · 05/05/2010 13:02

No, pretending it doesn't happen makes stupid people lean towards the BNP
You can't change peoples minds by denying that some white people feel marginalised by things like this. That was my point.
And I doubt it is official policy, just one unnecessarily taken on by the organisers of particular events.
Why do you think the BNP has garnered more votes? Do you think people just woke up racist one day?

MIFLAW · 05/05/2010 13:00

"I don't want to, my anonymity on here compromised MIFLAW
I know you have a propensity for bullying style posts so lets please leave it there"

I challenge you to find a post from me that bullies anyone.

Unless, by "bullying", you mean asking people to substantiate claims.

Lambeth - to take an example - has 288k residents. Identifying you lived in such a borough would hardly compromise your anonymity, surely? But ultimately up to you.

I have in no way insinuated that you have made anything up.

I am saying - quite blankly - that what you say is not, in my opinion, true. This does not imply malice on your part - you may truly believe it. But I would like evidence of this point because, if a traditionally "right-on" borough like Lambeth has no truck with this sort of thing, I am fascinated to know who does.

I would now like an apology for the accusation of bullying, please, unless you can substantiate it in any way.

seeker · 05/05/2010 12:54

The problem is that perpetuating urban myths like thhis is the sort of thing that makes stupid people lean towards parties like the BNP. That is why they cannot go unchallenged.

Not sure why linking to the appropriate document would compromise your anonymity, mrsruffalo.

mrsruffallo · 05/05/2010 12:52

Also why insinuate that I made it up?
I have no agenda on here. Read my post again.

MIFLAW · 05/05/2010 12:36

MrsRuffalo

you must surely sense that this thread has become highly sensitised as to who is speaking about facts and who is not.

If it is not an urban myth, please can you identify the borough?

mrsruffallo · 05/05/2010 12:29

Err, I am not more bothered about it
I was trying to add to a debate. I do not want this thread to become about the use of a word either
I am a socialist. A small part of my post has been picked up on, not the most important point either

MIFLAW · 05/05/2010 12:29

Mrs Ruffalo

Is your borough Lambeth by any chance?

Because, if it is, you are wrong. I work for Lambeth and no such thing happens.

runnybottom · 05/05/2010 12:28

which borough MrsR?

I do beleive you are talking bolleaux.

harleyd · 05/05/2010 12:27

fair enough samanthafox, am a bit shocked to be mentioned with regards to racism and hompohobia and cant stress enough that i do not hold any of these views

monkeysmama · 05/05/2010 12:27

FFS. Why are some people more bothered about the use or otherwise of the word 'Christmas' than about an OP posting statements about "The underhand colonisation of the homeland by black people" .

I went to school in the most mixed borough in the UK. We celebrated Christmas, Eid, Diwali, Guru Nanak's birthday etc etc. I'd far rather my daughter grows up with the attitude towards other cultures and races that I & my school friends have rather than the racist attitudes of DP and her ilk.

seeker · 05/05/2010 12:22

I'd love to see a link to an official council document banning the use of the word 'Christmas". I've asked lots of people in the past, and no one's ever been able to show me one.

mrsruffallo · 05/05/2010 12:15

It's not an urban myth.
I live in an inner city London borough and it happens here.
I am not stupid enough to post about things that I don't know are true

Can't we disagree with these issues and also withe BNP wombat?

noddyholder · 05/05/2010 12:15

DPC I likey Who are ya?

EricNorthmansmistress · 05/05/2010 12:11

winterval nonsense

EricNorthmansmistress · 05/05/2010 12:09

MrsRufallo and Gigantaur

You know that 'renaming christmas' thing is an urban myth don't you? There aren't actually any local authorities who refused to use the word christmas in relation to their christmas festivities. Perhaps you are thinking of this palaver?

monkeysmama · 05/05/2010 11:56

I echo everything LeninGrad says.

Still waiting for answers to my question daftpunk. Or Are you hoping that the thread will fill up before you have to do so?

elliemental · 05/05/2010 11:33

oh no, don't fill up the thread you guys...pleeeeeease?

DP might be off as we speak, finding the Holy Grail - one good reason which will magically make us all realise that, you know what, the BNP have something positive to offer us after all.

One thing!
DP!

Bueller?
Bueller?

anyone?

monkeysmama · 05/05/2010 11:33

Yes.

Dollytwat · 05/05/2010 11:33

fruitstick I think the idea is that we just get back to scrubbing our doorsteps and let the MEN go out and FIGHT those nasty immigrants

daftpunksConscience · 05/05/2010 11:31

ah hem, haven't I said that we've got the same policy? Why am I voting for BNP? Is it because I is racist?
