Who is your MP? What is your prediction?

Mine is John Healey, labour, and I strongly suspect a labour victory here as its never been anything else.

Who holds your constituency and will they return?

(trying to get away from the depressing threads)

Maria Miller (Con) - she is very good actually so I can vote for her on purely local issues as well as national ones. Would need a 3.5% swing to Lab to unseat her, but I don't even know the names of any of the other candidates standing here, we have had nothing from them, not even a leaflet.

Justine Greening here too . We used to be a Con/Lab marginal but I can't see it going any way other than Conservative this time.

My MP is stepping down as he wants to remain being a GP more than he does an MP in light of the no second job thing.

Shame. He is Labour (and I thought I was going to vote Lib Dem, but now not so sure) but he was the most pro-active MP I have known on behalf of his constituents. He certainly helped me out more than once and also helped others that I know personally.

I'll miss you Dr Howard Stoate!

Dr evan Harris. Libdem. It's a close thing between him and conservatives but I think he will get in again. There has been lots of canvassing by both. Dd thought nicola Blackwood, Tory candidate had "been to a party" because of her rosettes and balloons when we saw her in town. Luckily not one she would want to go to because "everything was blue, that's no fun"!

Mine is Nick Harvey, Lib Dem, seems like a nice guy. He has a biggish majority, but the Conservative candidate last time out was Orlando Fraser son of Antonia and Sir Hugh who made the bad mistake of telling an American journalist that North Devon women were 'notoriously hideous' forgetting that one or two people in the constituency were all connected up to the interweb. And could read and all. New Tory candidate is a local businessman who thinks single mothers shouldn't get housing benefit directly because they might spend it on food for their children instead of giving it to their landlord.
So who knows.

Ours was Angela Browning (Tory) but she's stepped down. It's supposed to be a safe seat anyway, and probably still is. The LibDems have a better chance of usurping than anyone else though.

Cantsupinate - you must be close to me. I'd love Norman Lamb for an MP - he seems a doer. Hoping the Fakenham voters will help turn new Broadland constituancy yellow and Dan Roper will turn out to be Norman Lamb II!

Richard Bacon - Conservative. Safe seat. His face is beaming out from all the fields around my village like a shiny gammon.

Peter Bottomly - Conservative - I think he will definately keep his seat - Conservatives have got around 47% of the votes in the last 3 General elections.

Labour MP Michael Wills who is not standing again. It's a marginal seat but I reckon it will go Conservative sadly.

Ours was Stephen Buyers Labour.

Thankfully he retired, but it is a safe Labour seat and a very nice local councillor Mary Glindon is running for them.

I do not know the Cons one, but somebody said he was a lawyer from London. (It was a Tory friend of mine, so I just took his word for it.)

We have Stephen Williams, Lib Dem who won in 2005 after a Labor MP since 1997, but before that William Waldegrave. Anyone remember him?

Boundaries have since been changed. Bristol West, really should be called Bristol Central.

Either Labor or Lib Dem. Way too close to call, but definitely not Tory.

I am asuming she will get back in but not really sure why. She's not knocked my door at all but then nor has any other bugger.

Noah - we have those Cons posters in our local fields too. There's no chance another party will get in round here though.

We have only had things from Conservatives and UKIP. There are a lot of Conservative placards around, including a post thing next door and a massive poster in the field over the road. Hope the cows like it.

Alistair Burt, Conservative. Our MP was Nadine Dorries (she of the £50 in the bra fame) but boundary change means we now have changed.

It will be a conservative seat. As it has been since who knows when. Nadine Dorries will also stay being MP I am very sure.
