Who is your MP? What is your prediction?

We have Vince Cable - Can't see him not getting back in and on the occasion I have asked him to support things in parliament he has done so, so he gets my vote

Grant snapps (con) I think he will keep his seat as live in a very Tory area. Last time the lim dem got just 14% of the votes

Jimmy Hood ,Labour i think he will definately get in again . I did not vote Labour for the first time in my life( and feel guiltridden somehow)no canvassing here at all except Snp Hadnt even heard of about 3 of the people on my voting slip

ProfYaffle, nobody has canvassed around here either. My village is too far away from Long Stratton/Diss for them to bother (we're practically Norwich, really, and I'd much rather be in Norwich South like picc!)

Ah Heartbrokenforpup...am afraid I was one of those voters at the last election who voted in John Leech...has he not been much good?

Am hoping to be able to work my swing magic again in my new area but Gary Streeter, Tory, had a 10k majority at the lest election and as no one (including him) seems to have done much campaigning I assume he is safe

Lab, Lib and even Green very strong here (we have 12 green city councillors, I think).

I'm kinda reassured that I don't think the Tories will get in, but other than that, I'm not sure....

But I'm loving the fact that the fields of bright yellow rapeseed in Oxfordshire are rebelling and clashing nicely with the big blue billboards.

Mine is Charlotte Atkins - Labour. - Marginal seat.

I think she will hang on - just - because she is quite high profile in the area, visiting and getting involved in things and always writes back to you if you email/write to her.

I'm undecided because I want to vote against her party but I think she has been a good MP and got lots done.

alyson, I was saying on a thread last night, I always have a moment in the booth when I think I might vote against my reason in a fit of madness. Like thinking you might jump off a cliff by mistake or throw yourself off the ferry.

I was on the phone to my MIL last night (she's in NW Norfolk) and when I mentioned Keith she said 'oh isn't he dead then? Nobody's seen or heard of him for years have they?'

Thought that about summed it up.

I am always amused by how much he looks likes what he is. An ex-miliary lecturer, Tory MP. He's a caricature at best.

My Dad worked v hard during the run up to Norman Lamb's election and they became good friends. He is an excellent man.

I'm v interested to see what happens here. I don't like the new boundaries, Broadland in particular covers a lot of disparate parts. I don't think the needs of those villages and towns towards Yarmouth are the same as those around Norwich, which again are very different to the ones towards Raynham. Seems a little illogical to me.

ShowOfHands - I would be gutted to lose Norman Lamb as my MP if I were you. I have seen Keith Simpson once in 10 years of living here and that was canvassing at the last election. He has an appauling record of attendance at the HOC and has never answered any letters (have written a few on bahalf of local playgroup). He is a rubbish MP. I like to vote for the candidate that I feel will serve our area best as much as along party lines.

Sweetnessandshite, I'm in Broadland too. Was living in N Norfolk when Norman Lamb was voted in (I voted for him!) and also have high hopes for Mr Roper.

We have Theresa May and her fab shoes.

This area is blue of the bluest blueness in blueville.

I think it will stay that way!

My current MP is Martin Salter (Labour, Reading West, in since 1997) but he's stepping down, he's been a good MP, very "seen" in the constituency and was whiter than white in the expenses scandal.

But for this election it really could be an interesting contest- we've been bombarded with literature from all parties in the last few weeks. I'm voting for Daisy Benson, LibDems, would be fab if she got in.

mines William Haugue, hes been in for 21 years so can't see that changing!

Sarah Tether (Lib Dem) who I heart. She works hard for the constituency and is the only MP I have ever seen on the streets talking to people when it is not election time.

Our constituency is merging with the neighbouring Labour one. The Labour woman is one of those MPs with London constituencies who claimed for a second home which was the same distance from Westminster as her constituency .

I predict that Sarah Tether will win, based on the amount of posters up for her but there is quite a strong Labour following as well as the seat used to be Ken Livingstone's before he became mayor.

I have posted earlier that I live in Byers constituency, a safe Labour seat.
It was bugging me though not knowing who the Tory candidate was. Somebody told me he was a London lawyer, but I could find no biographical details about him on the leaflets. Finally I managed to find him on the internet. OMG. He is in investment banking. In this area it is considered fighting talk, no wonder he just smiles and says nothing. He has a nice smile, but I think the Labour candidate will have an easy ride.

fedupwithdeployment - I'm in Tony McNulty's seat too! I actually spoke to him when he was canvassing, and he explained a bit about the 'expenses' scandal that surrounds his name. He didn't claim for his parents house - it was his own home. He married his wife 10years ago, who already owned her own home, and, once married, started living with her, although continued to pay the mortgage on his harrow home, and claimed for this as a second home as he was entitled to. His parents moved in a few years later, and he never charged them rent, which meant he should have received 'less' 2nd home allowance. He was a genuinely nice guy, and very proactive I've found. Although I doubt he'll get in, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for him.

Angus Robertson SNP, it is considered a safe seat - I don't feel like we have much choice.

Lib Dem candidate went to school here Gordonstoun - but lives in Edinburgh - I cannot vote for someone who isn't living here.

I think the low turn out of voters is depressing.
