they condemned the whole site shortly after I left. it was a coincidence..honest! I believe they rebuilt a load of swanky flats there but don't think they were owned by the uni anymore

I'm really living up to the dizzy drama student stereotype here, I realise. How embarrassing.

blametheparents · 29/04/2010 20:58

OhGOD - That's harsh!
And anyway after Year 1 I lived right in the heart of the happening Selly Oak. So there!

castille · 29/04/2010 20:58

Griffin was full of people with eating disorders IME. Strange atmosphere.

Manor was ACE.

OhGodItsCod · 29/04/2010 20:57

Horton · 29/04/2010 20:57

Top Girls I remember. I wasn't in it. But that makes me think maybe I've got my dates wrong and your mate was in the year above me. When did I go there anyway? Surely it must have been 89. Have I lost a year somewhere?

Substandard · 29/04/2010 20:56

I was there too - 93 to 96. Wydd for me

OhGodItsCod · 29/04/2010 20:55

it was a bit of a loser place to be Griffin wanst it

castille · 29/04/2010 20:55

Yeah it was miles from Manor/Griffin and after week 2 of each term no one had the cash for the bus.

We were FIT (in every sense of the word)

I'm not Jewish. I have no idea who you are thinking of. I can't remember anyone except some blokes from Devon and a few women who were mainly from London.

OhGodItsCod · 29/04/2010 20:52

Horton · 29/04/2010 20:52

Sorry, not sure what happened there. I'm glad I've made myself clear, though.

Am trying to remember people from Manchester on my course and failing.

OhGodItsCod · 29/04/2010 20:50

I lived at Griffin CLose in my first year.
Used to bloody well walk in from there if I didn't have enough for the bus fare.
(wanders away muttering about a bus from the Vale)

Can't see any mention of it on their website, there is a swanky new hall in Selly Oak though.
All looks far too flash nowadays

McDreamy · 29/04/2010 20:50

DH was there 87-90

Horton · 29/04/2010 20:50

I am not from Manchester and do not flick my hair. I was also in Maple Bank, though.
