Brilliant performance! However caveat with there's lies, damn lies and then poll results. Pollsters are a sneaky bunch who never tell the truth.

I do think DC did well this evening. He delivered quite a good slap down to NC on expenses.
But I also think that NC was best on Europe and Trident (convinced me anyway.
I think the fact that this has become a three-horse race at all is a huge achievement for NC.

A totally unbiased question from the YouGgov poll

Without trying to be political here, I remember when sky was born and the government was handing out cable licences that they wanted no one to dominate, there were loads of independent cable companies then the law on monopolies changed and you had virgin buying up all the independents, so you have sky (murdoch was labour now conservatives ) and virgin (labour donor).

I agree it's wrong, but monopolies have been allowed to run riot (under labour ) because the ones too benefit were lbour supporters.

Now the tables are turned and murdochs supporting the tories labour are crying foul.
They made their bed and must now lie in it.

But yes I agree that no media should have a monopoly.

no not at all! i don't think it matters who you support, i think that all of us should be really concerned at the level of media manipulation: murdoch backed blair last time, this time cameron.

if you scroll down you'll see the statement from yougov admitting to the 'question' and stating that they should have asked the polling question first and that the slur 'was not for publication'. so before they ask you who you'll vote for, they make an anti libdem statement. it's not really unbiased polling is it?

Hmm, you see, atlantis, I am a member of Yougov. But I kept saying in their polls that I would vote Lib Dem... and now they don't send me political polls any more.

I get loads of those bloody ones about soap powder, pies and fruit juice though.

The YouGov poll is utterly meaningless. DC won last week too and NC was 3rd.

Better to wait for some proper independent polls that ask non-biased questions.

I had a poll yesterday that gave a policy speech by each leader and you had to choose which one you liked best, not sure which party commissioned that but I think the speeches were out takes from the first debate.

As for that nc poll I suspect that that was commissioned by either the tories or labour as they both (don't know about lib dems but possibly) use you gov to do flash polls on other parties.

I have been a memeber of you gov for the past four years and have done a number of the election polls including tonights.

You get the link early and as soon as the show goes off you click the link and answer the questions. All the question were evenly based such as who do you think did best; NC,GB,DC etc.

There's no bias there.

The poll closes 10 mins later and thats your lot.

I took part in the ComRes poll which put
NC -33%
GB- 30%
DC - 30%.

Much more realistic IMO, and not biased!

OMG How ridiculous - did they ask anyone who watched the debate to comment on the yougov poll.

Brown did far far better, Clegg held his own but David Cameron looked like a liability and totally out of his depth.

What appalled me was the shocking level of bias in the SKY coverage. The moderator obviously favoured Cameron (who still couldn't pull it together)

and as for cutting to the yawning man.....

that was cheap - sky shouldn't have the opportunity to host this sort of serious politic debate again
