I give you David Aldous, conservative PPC for Waveney.

Presumably they picked this photo from a set. I'd love to see the others

OMG it looks like DC had just goosed him!

bebejones · 19/04/2010 18:58

I give you Neil Carmichael he is the one on the right...obviously!! He is very very sterotypically Tory, and scary IMO! Was very cross when he hammered the hell out of my front door the other day...just no need!

GentleOtter · 19/04/2010 18:16

Jamie Glackit the Scots will understand. He might be the dude in the hat.

I have no idea who the other candidates are or indeed, which one is Mr Glakit.

PfftTheMagicDragon · 19/04/2010 18:14

LOL otter, I do think you win

"I show her his picture: has she seen him? ?No,? she says. Rees-Mogg is notoriously partial to top hats, so I stick one on the picture. Anything now? ?No,? she says."

PfftTheMagicDragon · 19/04/2010 18:13

We have a female BNP candidate (make UKIP though). Also 2 independents (how on earth do you find anything out about them?).

Not that it will do them much good, even with the damage to the Tories Julie Kirkbride has done (and she is leaving this time) this is still a Tory stronghold unfortnately.

edam · 19/04/2010 18:12

This is my MP who once entertained the Tory party conference by singing:

I've got a little list
Of benefit offenders who I'll soon be rooting out
And who never would be missed
They never would be missed

There's those who make up bogus claims
In half a dozen names
And councillors who draw the dole
To run left-wing campaigns . . .

Young ladies who get pregnant just to jump the housing list
And dads who won't support the kids of ladies they've just kissed
And I haven't even mentioned all those sponging socialists
They'd none of them be missed.

Thing is, since his fall from power after Thatcherism, he seems to have become quite a decent cove. Has an impeccable voting record on civil liberties and took up a case for me that wasn't even in his constituency (a baby in Yarl's Wood immigration detention centre who had been left without formula milk for a whole weekend - something I heard about on MN).

And he's a good constituency MP, makes the effort to get out and meet voters and responds quickly if you do need to get hold of him.

Not sure I trust that he's left his previous 'nasty party' incarnation behind though... anyway, doesn't really matter what I think, he's got a 12k majority.

saggarmakersbottomknocker · 19/04/2010 17:07

We too have a female BNP candidate - this is an article about her lovely husband. Worse still some of the comments......

OrmRenewed · 19/04/2010 17:06

True Aren't we the lucky ones then?

TheHeathenOfSuburbia · 19/04/2010 17:05

To be fair, Orm, I can't imagine the BNP have that many potential candidates who can string a sentence together AND don't have facial tattoos, not surprising they've had to spread them pretty thinly...

ShadeofViolet · 19/04/2010 16:47
Hmm
crystal123 · 19/04/2010 16:43

I don't know who is the scariest, but here are the best looking future PMs in order DC, NC, GB.

OrmRenewed · 19/04/2010 16:28

Good eh?

OrmRenewed · 19/04/2010 16:25

Apparently not riven. She knows about Carnival though so that's OK then

Mine looks like Julian Clary's unfortunate little sister.....

OrmRenewed · 19/04/2010 15:57

We have a female BNP candidate. She is Scottish and doesn't even know where the town is FFS

The fact she's BNP is quite scary enough TBH.

DontCallMeBaby · 19/04/2010 15:54

OMG, found photo of Jo Johnson - looks like someone deflated Boris. Spooky.

Molesworth · 19/04/2010 15:38

Peter Aldous, dunno why I put David in the OP

Still think he's up there with Redwood in the scary stakes!

OP posts:
timmyinatizzy · 19/04/2010 15:37

We have Jo Johnson, the younger buffoon looking brother of Boris Johnson. He's not as round in the face as Boris, but the hair says it all!

dawntigga · 19/04/2010 13:36

moaningminniewhingesagain we get Stephen O'Brien on balance I think we win for this area

HaveYouSeenStephenO'BriensVotingRecord????Tiggaxx

itsmeitsmeolord · 19/04/2010 13:30

Someone obviously told him it's the only way he'll get to Westminster!

RustyBear · 19/04/2010 13:29

EddieIzzard - I'm in JR's constituency as well!

I haven't seen him yet this year, but the bfirst year we lived here he came down our road in a car and sat in it while his minions went to the houses to ask if we wanted to talk to him. I nearly asked how much it would cost, but decided that was a little too cynical, even for me. Maybe he feels people need to be prepared to see him...

Hassled · 19/04/2010 13:28

Your bloke hasn't really mastered the art of hitch-hiking, has he?

deaddei · 19/04/2010 13:27

We have Zac Goldsmith, who whilst not being too unkind on the eye, is wet.

itsmeitsmeolord · 19/04/2010 13:27

My candidate also appears to be wearing his dad's coat.
