Should we tolerate this in the UK?

I am aware that other cultures have different values and traditions, but should we really be tolerating this sort of behaviour in the UK?

https://www.dailymail.com/news/article-16199187/Exposed-British-imams-telling-men-beat-wives-say-NO-sex-police-ministers-failing-crack-them.html

Yet it seems that certain political parties are willing to turn a blind eye to this sort of thing so that they can secure votes from a certain section of the electorate who often vote as a family unit.

I really thought we had moved on from this sort of thing in the West, but disappointingly it seems I am sadly mistaken.

British imams telling men to beat their wives if they say NO to sex

Sitting before his many followers, a preacher dressed in white urges the men to hit their wives if they refuse to be 'called to bed for intimacy'.

Oh dear this is hard - I’m quite tired but go back to the post where I was quoted responding to another poster and work from there - it’s Monday and I need coffee

Why would he be, what relevance is that? He has been asked questions on the topic.

Unless you class anyone not white as not British or Christian?

No he's an utter c u next tuesday.

A cu next tuesday who only stays in power because white British nationals are now a minority in our own capital city.

Or a democratically elected person in a city with a 15% self identifying Muslim population- 85% are not Muslim so not sure how that makes non Muslims a minority?

Justinthekitchen · 12/10/2026 11:04

ghostyslovesheets · 12/10/2026 11:03

So why did you quote my post to another person asking if they had asked their Muslim friends?

Doesn’t seem very relevant

I didn't. You are confusing me with someone else.

Obviously it happens across all cultures but in my culture, Christianity. I have never heard a leader, the Vicar etc, stand up an advocate it, were that to happen that person would be arrested. It's wrong to allow cultures that advocate violence against women get away unpunished. Personally I think that the laws of this country should be what determines acceptability.

We now have two-tier justice in this country. Dare to critisise government immigration policy on social media and/or protest against it, perhaps a hurty tweet, or puncturing an empty dingy, then that's a expedited court hearing and a couple of years in the slammer for you.

Publicly promote the killing of Jews or the rape of your wife, or perhaps break a female police officers nose during an airport scuffle, or wear balaclavas at a violent Antifa demo, and there is seemingly no urgency or desire to do much about it quickly. Likely a slap on the wrist at most.

You started the thread! Are you saying that it's specifically an issue with Muslims or brown people then? Are you not tarring them with the same brush?

It's a male violence and male entitlement issue.

'We'? Who is 'we'?

And who is 'you people'? (Post above the one quoting mine.)

I thought it was perfectly obviously how odious and shameful I think the imam's words where but I've sought to highlight the fact that you can think more widely around the subject without being told that makes me a supporter of these hateful views.

We have a cultural issue here that is distinctly different from any home grown abuse. But again trying your best to not acknowledge this and minimise the issue at hand.

There, fixed it for you.

What, by not being prepared to acknowledge the specific issue at hand?

With people like you in charge, it is no wonder the victims in these cases were reluctant to come forward.

Do church leaders actively promote this behaviour though? Is it ever considered acceptable behaviour among the Christian community? Is this behaviour promoted by football clubs and by leaders within their supporter organisations? Sounds like you're trying to make excuses so you can justify or turn a blind eye to it.

Edited

It's certainly not that long ago that Christian women were told by the Church to have sex with their husbands to procreate whether they wanted to or not it was their Christian duty and to love, honour and obey their husbands.

How sanctimonious! It is possible, you know, to hate the words and attitude of the imam you quote and also (gasp) want to point out that it's not just Muslim men.

I've seen similar stances on the Fort Hood murderer: if we don't want him killed on live stream then we must support him. Whatever happened to nuance and reading round the subject?

The minute Reform was mentioned in terms of political parties with domestic abusers, you were the first to shout 'politics' when it is just a fact.

I find the level of discourse on social media these days utterly depressing, especially when the old 'silent majority' is trotted out (as you have with the rioters who attacked hotels).

The Daily Mail has an agenda, of course. 'Politics'.

On that note, I can also say that a lot of the modern day slavery gangs I dealt with included a vast array of Vietnamese and Thai people. That’s an issue you rarely read about in the news at all! In fact, I can’t remember the last time I saw a case like that published in the media at all but it does happen and exists more frequently than you’d expect. I am not seeking to tar everybody with the same brush - in fact that’s my point entirely. You can’t blame an entire religion or race for such awful crimes when it’s individuals. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Given your argument re: expectation that there are more white grooming gangs given the population. Do you see a mass of condemnation from communities regarding white perpetrators? I don’t. In fact the only thing people shout loudly about is Asian grooming gangs and sporadic uproar about the elites such as Epstein. Perhaps if we ALL shouted louder about ALL grooming gangs then there would be greater protection for ALL women and girls which surely can only be a positive thing?

As for the underreporting - I speak of that from a victim perspective in that whilst the law takes its course with perpetrators, it relies heavily on witness testimony from victims. Many Asian women and girls fail to co-operate to bring their perpetrators to justice as they’re brainwashed with fear about losing their dignity, respect and honour by speaking out. I do not think that police fail to take action solely based on race. I think police & judges can and do make mistakes e.g baby killers who get relatively minor sentences because it’s deemed a momentary loss of control with no ongoing risk, evidence lost in cases, evidence being inadmissible due to poor paperwork etc etc. So many convictions also highly rely on juries and juries are a huge problem in our justice system. I did jury service a few years ago and the accused was deemed not guilty. I came across an article a few months later which detailed all the heinous crimes he had committed over the last decade, none of which were known to the jury making the decision at the time.

It has a name pathological empathy. It is predominatly a white, middle class, university educated, female issue. Public services in the UK are riddled with it at every level in every dept and its consequences are Rotheram, Rochdale, and Telford. Real women and girls have been are are still getting their lives ruined by it.

DV is perpotrated by all sexes, all races, all religions but if the Andrew Tate’s were exposing the same values as this Iman then the responses of some women would be very different look at the reaction to Adolescence.

No body should be encoraging Men to beat women, Fucking no one!!

It’s that simple, isn’t it?

How dreadful. Let's stop educating women, shall we?

Fancy having people with empathy and the ability to see another point of view in public services.

I am sickeningly fascinated by people who seem to think that anyone who has an ounce of compassion or understanding for other people - especially the migrant scapegoat - is a) brainwashed and will allow them to get away with anything and b) unable to simultaneously condemn them for unpleasant and criminal actions. It is possible to hold both thoughts at once, you know.

Believing the above is one step away from saying refugees get new iphones handed out at the beach and a stretch limo to their 5 star hotels when they land on the beach. Ditto re the two tier policing trope. The people driving a wedge between us all over the world are manipulating fear and anger for their own ends.

Lemonfrost, looking back through this thread, I have not been able to see a single bit of condemnation from you for what these Islamic Imams have been preaching.

So can I just ask, will you unconditionally condemn their behaviour? Will you also agree with me that their behaviour should not be tolerated in the UK?

Can you bring yourself to do it?

How sanctimonious! It is possible, you know, to hate the words and attitude of the imam you quote and also (gasp) want to point out that it's not just Muslim men.

There are loads speaking against it tbh, but if your algorithms are just showing you daily mail and gb news at this point then I guess you probably will not be looking for balance.

It doesn't cancel out the hideousness of what that imam preaches and I'm completely against it being allowed to continue and it needs to be shut down.

It is part of a bigger picture of male violence and entitlement and patriarchy which is also a huge issue in every religion, culture and country.
It needs to be taken more seriously and not dismissed or downplayed by people acting as if it's a problem with brown people and Muslims specifically.

Please don't tarnish all Asians with the same brush as we don't seem to have an problem with Korean, or Japanese, or Thai, etc, grooming gangs here in the UK. These are predominantly Pakistani Muslim rape gangs.

Given that around 90% of the population of the UK is white, I'm not surprised there are more white men being convicted of sexual abuse, grooming etc. That's because there are 9 times more of them. But proportionality is what matters, and we need to understand whether the problem is much more prevalent within a certain cultural section of our population. This is what Rupert Lowe's rape gang enquiry sought to find out, and what many people tried to brush under the carpet by pulling the 'race' card. It is alleged that the perpetrators in these gangs preyed almost exclusively on white working class girls, as they saw them due to their non-muslim status as lower than dirt, and plied them with drugs to do vile and unspeakable things to them.

And what you are discussing with the reported and confirmed incidences that you dealt with. And we all know that the Pakistani grooming gangs has been covered up on mass and the problem if far far greater than the media, our police, or our politicians (some of whom are complicit in covering it up) admit. If things are covered up by the communities that tolerate harbouring these vile individuals, and police don't take the victims seriously, then almost all of these crimes will go unreported.

On that note, I can also say that a lot of the modern day slavery gangs I dealt with included a vast array of Vietnamese and Thai people. That’s an issue you rarely read about in the news at all! Just what balance should be shown exactly towards religious leaders preaching to their followers that it is acceptable to rape or assault your wife? What balance should we show towards vile and highly organised muslim grooming gangs that have raped, drugged and committed the most depraved sexual assaults on underage white girls for decades?

So far as I am concerned there should be zero tolerence of this in our society.

Sadiq Khan denied all knowledge and has tried to smear anyone challenging him on this as racist, see videos on my post higher up this page.

So far as I am aware, Mr Khan is a loudly spoken representative member of the Muslim community, so what should we take from this exactly?
