Brexiteers sure love to live and/or work in the EU

He's also clear about the use of token Jews, who stand either outside or on the outskirts of their community, as a fig-leaf for antisemitism
Polanski repeated the claim about the Holocaust survivor being one of the people who wrote the proposal, but all I can find is a Holocaust survivor ( who must have been a young child at the time) approving of the policy. So another ' Good Jew'

I've just read that David Collier article linked above, and am sharing it again as it very much worth your while:
https://david-collier.com/inside-occupied-territory-at-the-green-party-conference/
He provides evidence of people in favour of the motion also being in favour of violence and of the Iranian regime.

He's also clear about the use of token Jews, who stand either outside or on the outskirts of their community, as a fig-leaf for antisemitism.

I also read his 'about' page, where he says, of his journey to becoming an investigative journalist:
'but I started to double-check everything – even the points being made by those I agree with.'
Oooh David... I've done the same. Follow where the evidence, rather than ideology, takes you. Read your own side critically, as well as drilling into the opposition. Check quotes to source. Make sure that academic paper really says what the person promulgating its results claims it says. If it says it in the conclusions, check that the text supports those conclusions wholeheartedly (don't expect the peer reviewers to do it, as some of them are useless). If you're in the archive anyway, check that file... You'd be appalled at what bullshit makes its way into print.

It's a sure-fire way to make yourself unpopular, especially if you describe your findings to the ideologically motivated.

I think there's plenty of people out there who see them as two cheeks of the same arse.

There's a certain crushing inevitability about it. Two groups of people who like a good bit of extremism, always wind up in purity spirals and who handle their opponents absolutely brutally.

I would be fun to watch if it wasn't so bloody dangerous.

Yes personally I think they are both guilty of racism - far left and far right.

Far left just more annoying because of their "holier than thou" attitude (misguided).

There was a lot of approval for the Greens on MN.

..while slating Reform/Restore for harbouring misogyny and racism. Nothing less than the usual double standards.

David Collier has written his account of the Green Party conference

https://david-collier.com/inside-occupied-territory-at-the-green-party-conference/

So he hasn't bailed out and has carried on his purpose in the same vein. Thanks for sharing. The women in that party and/or the remaining Jews really need to evacuate the sewer.

Yes, there was. Funny how these same posters are now outraged at what's come out at the greens conference.

And yet, some posters were considering switching to the greens from Labour, lest we forget....

Ereshkigalangcleg · 19/10/2026 10:55

And no it was not “a completely different party” then. They purged their feminist members for standing up for women’s rights. They encouraged the entire far left of Labour to join.

BIossomtoes · 18/10/2026 14:01

Thanks for that, Noble. Now tell me I’m naive @Ereshkigalangcleg.

What exactly did you imagine I was saying? My point is that Labour will need the Greens however mad they are. I’ve read that report. It’s shocking.

Neverstopwondering · 18/10/2026 21:28

He said he wanted to try to amend it to advocate for a two state solution. I bet if he does that he will be ousted. Because that's not extreme enough to drive the people out of the party they want driven out. The 200000 people who have travelled in from Momentum, Your Party etc won't want to be just the same as everyone else. They know Israel isn't going anywhere so it's a forever war they can fight. At this point it will just be interesting to see them go full Trotskyist/ Muslim Brotherhood ( both of whom use entryists tactics to eject opposition and further their aims) and watch it play out. History tells us that the Hard Left always collapse into infighting and purity spirals. They will have enabled an Islamist hardline party with all that entails for women and LGBT but since they would have bullied all the moderates out of the party they will be on their own, having as usual, enabled fascists. Luckily 200,000 people is not a large enough group of people to have an impact nationally, and at least they are all in one loony bin together.

If that was supposed to be some kind of gotcha yes I was - when Carla Denyer was joint leader. It was a completely different party then.

Not sure he does mean business

It could easily be that he knows the just have to ditch it because of one state stuff but not ditch the whole racist rhetoric that was also in that motion.

Therefore the Greens can ditch the policy but still be as nasty as they like.

Once the policy is ditched labour would still be collaborative with some very nasty people if a coalition happened

Exactly. I think some posters are somewhat naive about what will happen.

I think I was more pissed off when the same people made Labour unelectable and we ended up with way more years of Tory government than we might have done.

Well quite.

My feeling is that most of those leaving will go to Labour. I think the birth of a new party is unlikely. I feel desperately sorry for longstanding Green members seeing their party destroyed like this. Caroline Lucas must be devastated.

I quite agree, it must be upsetting for her. It’s clearly also upset the Green MPs. And i think you may well be right that a lot of Green voters may now switch their support to Labour.

Twiglets1 · 16/10/2026 10:46

Chersfrozenface · 16/10/2026 10:01

If the Omnicausal herd that left Labour to go to the Greens, sometimes via Your Party, now move back to Labour, won't the same problem arise?

Unless Labours fixers can head them off or eject them once they'be become members.

Then they would have to find a new prey entity or form their own party.

They definitely should have gone to Your Party but presumably deemed that party wasn't politically successful enough to be useful in moving their extreme ideas into the mainstream.

Yes that is likely I agree.

Labour will need to vet people jumping from the Green party to make sure they aren't those with the sort of antisemitic views that were so damaging to Labour in the past as @noblegiraffe pointed out.
