Yesterday 781 illegal immigrants arrived.
How many are doctors, careers and engineers?
How many are pedophiles or rapists?
We don’t know, but let’s let them roam around free anyway.

She's only complaining about the ones that weren't intercepted.

Reduce the acceptance rate for granting LTR (UK grants double the rate of LTR as France). Stop funding the activist lawyers. Reduce the number of appeals allowed. Offshore processing.

Why do you think she doesn't want to? What would be her reasoning?

Labour are globalists at heart, especially the left wing in the Labour Party, who Mahmood and Burnham have to appease in order to stay in their jobs.

Also Labour have an incentive to bring people in as once they're granted LTR, they're likely to be loyal voters for Labour who have provided them with food, clothes, accommodation, healthcare education, access to doctors and dentists etc etc.

I think if there was a political will to really cut down on these illegal crossings, it would happen. In particular they would clamp down on the pull factors. The fact that they don't, leads me to believe the political will is lacking.

What about the many thousands who came to the UK under the Tories? Would they be loyal voters for the Tories who provided them with food, clothes, accommodation, healthcare education, access to doctors and dentists etc.?

781! That is nuts. I was talking to a friend (ex military) in Belfast, they have a massive problem with them there, to the extent he doesn’t let his 14 yo son out alone. It‘s far beyond anything the media reports on, apparently.

All this desperation to cut the welfare bill but we are still offering everything on a plate to anyone who cares to make the trip.

The Tories also lack the political will to reduce immigration whether legal or illegal. They are beholden to their friends in big business who demand a constant flow of cheap labour.

Both Labour and Tories have an incentive for the current influx of people into the country to continue. They are both globalists. The challenge for them is to try to fool the British public into believing this is not the case.

Yes, a perfect summary of the state we're in. All we get is a bit of 'tough talking' and very little action.

Meanwhile the boats keep coming (781 people, mostly military aged males, arriving on one day is outrageous), the racket continues, the costs ramp up and the poorest are hit the hardest.

No wonder Labour are looking at ways to clamp down on free speech and fast track anyone who protests into prison, where a space will have been cleared for them by releasing domestic abusers early.

I am not advocating for cheap labour here. But is this not counter to Reforms policy of attracting business to the UK ? Because if labour costs go up, business will just go elsewhere wont it?

Cheap labour is more beneficial to economies that are more reliant on manufacturing than services. UK manufacturing decline began in 1980s as there was no way UK could compete with the cheap labour available in countries like, China, India, Malaysia and Vietnam.

Businesses can be attracted by means such as:

Lower corporate taxes. Ireland 🇮🇪 is a good example.

Lower energy costs. UK has amongst the highest energy costs in the World which is partly caused by the pursuit of net zero.

Yeah. And Reform say they want to bring manufacturing back.

This government has neither the appetite or ability to stop it, despite their daily social media posts about how they ae combating it. Other countries have successfully solved this problem in the past, it absolutely can be done. The main thing they could do is make the UK unattractive to illegal immigrants and eliminate the pull factor - if they knew they would be securely detained in a detention centre upon arrival then either returned to their country of origin or elsewhere straight away, they wouldn't bother. Fed up of their excuses - and this will contribute to their downfall at the next GE. I think they underestimate the frustration of the electorate about this.

She didn't say stop the boats she's saying make sure we intercept them all. I think most of them were picked up on the beach anyway.

Home grown manufacturing as opposed to reliance on cheap imports and cheap labour I think was the idea. Whilst at the same time scrapping net zero to reduce energy costs.
