We should be discouraging the use of elections as political stunts.

Agree. I’m also not wild about standing aside to let a mate have a go (looking at you Josh Simons) although in fairness he should have stood down as soon as he made a twat of himself and the end result would have been the same.

I think he paid for it himself. Which is a great example of how wildly removed he is from his voter base, the majority of whom earn under 40k pa.

No I would say that is spot on. You are a fool if you think Farage will help working class. He will remove workers rights, decimate public services and welfare state, move to privatising health service and make his billionaire buddies and corporate execs even richer at our expense while destroying our environment by moving away from renewables and back to drill baby drill. He won’t want us educated as stupid people are easier to manipulate. He also won’t stop the boats. They will need us serfs to do all the jobs AI won’t do.
