You had a chance to put a stop to the dodgy little lying, pathetic twat and you blew it.

Now we have to listen to his bollocks and hate inducing garbage for longer.

9,000 people voted for a bin rather than this swindler.

He can’t even bring himself to come to your town to accept the vote. He is laughing at you.

Real “man of the people’ - why can’t you see that he doesn’t give a crap about you or your problems?

Oh well at least the investigation into the £5mill can resume.

What a fucking waste of time and money. Disgusting. Disappointed in you guys. 🙈

It’s not up to Labour or Conservatives to play along with his nonsense.

Actually I disagree. While Farage pulled a stunt, I personally believe our government and official opposition should be compelled to stand in every seat

Greedybilly · 14/08/2026 09:09

What does he have to do for people to stop voting for him? Mind blowing levels of stupidity 🤯

Personally I think the major parties have treated the people of Clacton with contempt due to shameful cowardice.

Why did Labour/Conservatives not stand and run a great campaign offering locals real choice? Fear of the optics of loosing?

So the people of Clactons MP and their right to political choice was less important to the government and shadow than the optics of loss. And they wanted them to vote for a person with no political experience who is a national joke, a man dressed as a bin? As their MP? Ha bloody ha, hilarious - it's only fucking Clapham eh? Who gives a fuck Clacton!

It really is fucking disgusting OP, but Farage is not the only one with his arse on show.

Edited

Because Farage would have then used the fact that he won Clacton to shut up those other parties when they wanted his 5 mill bribe investigated. 'The people disagree with you'. We know that was exactly his plan, he was pretty open about it.

But how can the people of Clacton validate his behaviour before it has been properly investigated?

If irregularities are found and there's another bye-election, then that can be a referendum on whether Nigel being bought and paid for is something the public are concerned about. This bye-election was just a stunt, using the people of Clacton and the other parties for his own ends. It's unsurprising that the other parties didn't want to validate it and left him to argue with a man with a bin on his head.

Pigeoninthebath · 14/08/2026 09:09

On the plus side Laurence Fox lost his deposit. Again.

The cowardice is all on Farage.

He wasted money and time on a by election he didn't need to call.

An absent MP who can't even be bothered to be at the count.

At least the Standards investigation can now continue.

It’s bewildering that anyone would vote for this man who is a proven liar, racist and misogynist.

Indeed. It obviously is not a problem for those who voted for him.

LizzieSiddal · 14/08/2026 09:08

Dunnocantthinkofone · 14/08/2026 09:07

Labour and conservatives had a chance to get him out and bottled it.
perhaps they should be the recipients of your frustration rather than the people of Clacton

hattie43 · 14/08/2026 09:08

Why can’t you just see that not everyone shares your views , it’s a democracy and people can vote any which way they choose .

Pigeoninthebath · 14/08/2026 09:07

Vote Farage. Friend of Andrew Tate.
Birds of a feather.

@Pigeoninthebath because they didn't want to vote for a man dressed as a bin and be a global laughing stock in many cases I imagine. I would have been very upset none of the real parties gave a fuck about us.

There were other alternatives in CLACTON.

Why do you think people vote for a man who when he had a position of power barely attended? He failed to show up to represent his constituents day after day for years. Why do the they think he will step up and act now based on all evidence.

This is one of the reasons people question why people would vote for Farage.

It's not a 'scolding by betters'. It's a reasonable concern/question.

I assume its because they either genuinely agree with NF and/or they want to send a message to other parties. Just like in all elections ever.

GladThat · 14/08/2026 09:05

Such a huge waste of tax payer money.

I thought Reform were about making huge savings….

My politics sit left of centre but I can clearly see the harm being done by this incessant scolding of people who have a different view.

Voting and recent events have CLEARLY shown that a great many, a majority of British people want illegal immigration stopped and legal immigration more strictly controlled.

Everyone needs to listen.

People voting for Farage have as much right to a vote and an opinion as anyone else and if this scolding by people who see themselves as "betters" and Remain/Restore as "a basket of deplorables" need to take a long hard look at themselves and their own bigotries.

Agree strongly with this and I'm not a populist/ Reform / restore supporter.

Sure. So do politicians of parties other than Reform. Five Mill Farage isn't exactly standing against a bunch of politicians who want more illegal immigration and to encourage the boats.

emuloc · 14/08/2026 09:03

He can’t even bring himself to come to your town to accept the vote. He is laughing at you.

This. He spends more time in America chasing the tail of Trump. Maybe the people of Clacton who voted for him, find that acceptable. He will do nothing for those people.

faithfultoGeorgeMichael · 14/08/2026 09:02

Many apologies - Clacton! I will correct if allowed
