Something that so very many posters are not doing on this or the previous thread.

I do believe she would read it as a defence of all vulnerable people of an older vintage who may not be quite up to fighting off an intruder.

I’m sure a whole police force have better things to do than cover up the murder of a prominent individual. 🙄 The amount of people that would have to be in on it etc

Now if you are suggesting it was targeted, that might be plausible. There are political figures that need the heat off them and Russian have no qualms assassinating people on our shores. But, realistically, it is either someone she knows, a robbery ‘gone wrong,’ or a mentally ill individual who has been radicalised.

A Conservative MP was murdered and it wasn’t covered up so it is certainly not going to be a politically biased investigation from the police perspective.

Exactly.
And looking back I don't think it ever entered the heads of any of my male relatives, because why would it? She was mentally tack sharp right up to the end. She could've run the country if not the world and nothing short of a box was getting her out of that house (correctly as it turned out) but I could never shake the awareness that she was a tiny woman, living in a very isolated place and if any man had broken in then she wouldn't have stood a chance.
