If I lived in Clacton I absolutely would! 😀

I can't imagine anything more British than Count Binface getting elected.

BinfortheWin · 08/07/2026 21:30

I don’t even think it would just be a protest vote - I genuinely think he’d serve his constituency better.

TragicMuse · 08/07/2026 21:32

To stop Farage? Absolutely!

Cheeseandolivesplease · 08/07/2026 21:34

@Ineffable23 He wouldn't go ahead with the by-election (which would mean he wouldn't be an MP). He could still be party leader.

I'd vote for auld Nick rather than farage

whippersnapper55 · 08/07/2026 21:37

I'd sooner vote Binface than Farage that's for sure!

I would, but only if there was no candidate for the Monster Raving Loony party as they are my ‘go to’.

Mumoftwoteenagers · 08/07/2026 21:54

Weirdly yes. (Something I never thought that I would say!)

For five reasons:-

1 I truly believe that Britain and British politics would be a much better place without Nigel Farage as an elected representativE.
2 I think that Nigel Farage has been a terrible MP for the people of Clacton and they deserve better
3 I genuinely believe that Jon Harvey is an intelligent and fundamentally decent person and so would make a decent job of being an MP if he found himself elected
4 £350k is a lot of money to save
5 A YouTube video of Nigel Farage’s face when he realises that he has been beaten by a man who put a bin on his head is a treat we all deserve when we have had a bad day.

EsselteFilingBox · 08/07/2026 21:55

How is he planning on nationalising Adele? I'm slightly concerned about what that might involve, for us and her!

Growlybear83 · 08/07/2026 21:56

I voted for Count Binface in the London Mayoral election and would definitely vote for him again 😆

LadyRoughDiamond · 08/07/2026 21:58

dylexicdementor11 · 08/07/2026 19:34

I’m tempted to help canvas for Mr bin face!

That’s Count Binface to you. Otherwise addressed as Your Lordship*

  • may differ intergalactically.
CountBinfaceForPM · 08/07/2026 22:00

Obviously.

Ihateboris · 08/07/2026 22:05

Yes..The Count versus The Cunt. It's a no brainer. Wouldn't it be fantastic?? I'm more excited about this than the World Cup 🤣

Dawnintheageofaquariams · 08/07/2026 22:06

Also, Jon Harvey isn't a nonce.

Yiayoula · 08/07/2026 22:14

Count Binface ?
Absolutely .

I’d rather vote for my bin 🗑️ than Farage.

Lunalara · 08/07/2026 22:36

Over Farage? Absolutely. Farage has shot himself in the foot massively with this latest stunt.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 08/07/2026 22:38

I know very little about Count Binface, but I know enough about Farage to think that almost anyone would be better.

SpottyAlpaca · 08/07/2026 22:43

I wouldn’t just vote for Binface, I would campaign for him if I lived in Clacton.

I would be willing to travel to Clacton to campaign for Binface if I thought it would help!

downloadtoad · 08/07/2026 22:57

Definitely ! Can’t be any worse than the rest of them can he?!

Littlecrake · 08/07/2026 22:57

i would vote Binface. NF has been an absolutely shite constituency MP and is a massive grifter as well as being dodgy AF. Binface is untested, but seems like an intelligent and thoughtful guy who will do a half decent job. NF is totally taking the piss by calling this by-election and deserves his arse handing to him (I would have preferred AB not to have won either - it’s taking the puss out of the electorate and this, alongside changing the PM every 10 minutes is not how serious countries are run).

Littlecrake · 08/07/2026 23:04

Binface’s odds have shortened since this morning. William Hill giving him 7/2

maudelovesharold · 08/07/2026 23:11

I really hope this takes off, and there’s a huge turnout of all the anti-Farage voters, when the time comes!

WoollyandSarah · 08/07/2026 23:17

Ineffable23 · 08/07/2026 21:20

Where have you read this? So he wouldn't be an MP at all any more?

Does chickening out just mean not standing, so we get a "normal" reform candidate and all the other parties then decide to stand.

Carryitjoyfully · 08/07/2026 23:19

Bulbsbulbsbulbs · 08/07/2026 19:37

He's a friend of a friend and actually a really nice bloke. My mate reckons he'd be a good MP if he got in.

I was just watching Newsnight and honestly thought he sounded just like Jonathan Ross...
