Badenoch is on BBC News standing in front of an armoured vehicle (she's not sitting in a tank yet, but give her time).
When told that the majority of Britons don't want to be involved in this war, she said that we would be if we understood what it meant.
She's happy to have a conversation with the PM, obviously he's too stupid too.
Only she has the intellect required to want to bomb people.

International Law is only theoretical, unless it is enforce. It used to be the US who would do this. It’s clear that they won’t anymore. No one else has the power to fill the gap. So it’s just an idealistic dream.

Oh dear.

That is one ill-advised photo.

Teleron · 06/03/2026 21:18

I have no idea what the war is about tbh. If she knows more perhaps she could share it with the rest of us!

Loopylalalou · 06/03/2026 20:27

Justify just how it’s illegal and deranged. I dare you.

Illegal? Where's the threat to the US? Where's the UN resolution?
Deranged? What's the aim of this disaster? The excuses trotted out by Trump change hourly. This time next week he'll be bored and looking for his next target. Cuba? He's forgotten about Venezuela already.

That’s the easy answer, probably one that’s been sold by an ineffective and lazy tabloid journo. There is an objective, I believe. Look at the links I posted earlier, or get on the internet and find your own theory. Don’t accept what other say just because it’s easy to believe.

It’s what I’ve gleaned from extensive reading in a number of sources. I don’t read the tabloids, incidentally. So what’s the objective? What’s the plan? How does Trump think he has the right to choose the leader of a country in the Middle East?

Loopylalalou · 06/03/2026 20:34

BIossomtoes · 06/03/2026 20:30

No objective, no plan, Trump thinking he can choose Iran’s future leader - deranged enough for you?

momager22 · 06/03/2026 20:32

I dislike the tories but she didn’t call us stupid.
You’re exaggerating and sensationalising the same way as the right wing press do. come on op, you can do better than this.

You think we should follow the US into a deranged and illegal war? To what end? That's what she (and Farage) are advocating.

Drydrydry · 06/03/2026 19:27

Some of these comments are deluded. Oh but the British public don't want it..except we call them stupid when they voted for brexit.

Oh play the ball not the person..unless it's someone like farage.

I see you

Thedogscollar · 06/03/2026 18:57

PandoraSocks · 06/03/2026 18:37

Oh dear.

Exactly. She's pathetic.
Her and Farage would be the first to complain about the Iranian refugees coming to UK but hey its OK to bomb the hell out of their country but don't come looking for help here.

La la la la… you’re all deluded by thinking that the one thing to worry about is a woman who’s a Tory. A woman being dragged by a site mainly populated by women. Tsk tsk.
Fiddle whilst we burn - or is that truly a displacement of real worries about the future? Nah, I think I know the truth.

OH NO SHE DIDN'T

Sherbs12 · 06/03/2026 17:13

It was painful to watch - and apparently, there are a fair few of her backbenchers who also disagree with her. Her approach at PMQS this week was really misjudged for leader of the opposition, given the circumstances. The Tories had a disastrous by-election last week - so few votes they lost their deposit (first time since 1962). Posters will be along shortly to explain to us why we’re wrong, the polls, etc.

Thedogscollar · 06/03/2026 17:06

James O'Brien described her to a tee today.
The fool who thinks she's a genius.

She's been put in place by the Tories to take the flack for the shitshow of 14 years we endured under their rule. They will get rid when somebody better comes along.

Keir Starmer is playing this exactly as any sane PM would. He is looking at the bigger picture and the legality of what has taken place. Kemi Badenoch is a loose cannon and we have enough of them with Trump and Netinyahu.

sittingonabeach · 06/03/2026 16:52

Until we know what Trump’s final plan is, how involved should we be?

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 06/03/2026 16:26

BIossomtoes · 06/03/2026 12:10

Which is exactly what she was addressing.

BoredZelda · 06/03/2026 15:39

MrsBennetsPoorNervesAreBack · 06/03/2026 13:03

Yes, the British public who vote.

I mean, we had a shit Tory government which trashed the country for 14 years and we voted for the monumental act of self harm when we opted for Brexit, so it's pretty hard to construct a case that the British electorate are actually well informed and understand what they're voting for.

I mean, it's somewhat ironic that KB decides to highlight the ignorance of much of the electorate now when the majority of people happen to disagree with her, and I've no doubt that she will consider the electorate to be wise all-knowing as soon as she has any inkling that public opinion seems to be backing her up.

The reality is, the majority of the electorate won't know much about the complexities of the ME, any more than they understand economics or many of the other things that they might be asked for opinions on. And the majority won't be that bothered about trying to learn either.

Edited

Ahh, so we are ignorant but only when we are voting against her interest. Got it. Or maybe, we know what we know, and we know enough to make up our own minds.

You can bet your ass, if Starmer had decided to support Trump in his illegal war, Badenoch would be invoking Tony Blair and Iraq. I also wonder how happy she will be to welcome anyone seeking asylum from Iran. The only thing you can count on with Badenoch is, she will oppose whatever the Government does, no matter what.

ChrisMartinsKisskam · 06/03/2026 15:38

PandoraSocks · 06/03/2026 12:39

There’s more than the blatantly apparent going on, obviously not understood by many

Could you explain a bit more on this, so we can understand better?

Trump wanted Venezuela not only because of Marudo but because china & Russia was / starting to help them and trying to get a base there through the oil
Venezuela has the best oil in the world
And they were trying to get them to help them extract the oil
then you have Russia / China very close to USA

same with Iran
Iran sell pretty much most of their oil to china
This gives china a foothold in the Middle East

Cuba - Trump is basically starving them out
he told Venezuela if they sent them any oil
he wouldn’t be happy 😂
Venezuela used to send Cuba a tanker of oil every week
cuba is basically starving
Russia always had an interest in Cuba going back to the Cold War and they asked Russia for help and they can’t because they are at war

what’s the common links - China Russia

Hi Kemi

Unnecessary war that will hit world wide economies hard and all to appease Trump. Spain has the right idea. Stand up to Trump!

This!

pilates · 06/03/2026 15:17

If our defence personnel are limited could there be a form of conscription (I know other European countries have talked about something similar). Are posters who think KB is right and have young adult DC, would you be happy for them to be called up?

I think happy is the wrong word. Prepared is better.

LeftBoobGoneRogue · 06/03/2026 15:15

Pollqueen · 06/03/2026 11:54

I agree with Kemi

What is the justification for the war (it keep changing) and what is the plan after? Is it legal? Has the UN or Congress signed this off? NO.
Trump is just following Netanyahu attacking. Netanyahu is now effectively the ‘Leader of the Free World’ and Trump is his poodle.
