Badenoch is on BBC News standing in front of an armoured vehicle (she's not sitting in a tank yet, but give her time).
When told that the majority of Britons don't want to be involved in this war, she said that we would be if we understood what it meant.
She's happy to have a conversation with the PM, obviously he's too stupid too.
Only she has the intellect required to want to bomb people.

She was quoting Emma Lewis who says that is what the Labour Party is called by people she talks to. She is a Labour MP.

Yes, that’s what I understood.

She said that Labour is called this by some.

Is she wrong in that some called them that?

Illegal? Where's the threat to the US? Where's the UN resolution?
Deranged? What's the aim of this disaster? The excuses trotted out by Trump change hourly. This time next week he'll be bored and looking for his next target. Cuba? He's forgotten about Venezuela already.

The United Nations is basically a dead organisation now. If it largest members aren't going to follow its charter no-one else will.

I think we have departed from a time where "international law" applies.

How very dare she bring it up during PMQs?

She should have swept it under the carpet to avoid upsetting the perpetrators.

Silly woman.

I was talking about her calling Labour the "Paedo Defenders Party". How does that help anything? As I said, some CSA survivors posted very movingly about how it made them feel.

Katy Amess (daughter of David Amess) also condenmed Badenoch.

I have indeed. I stand by my opinion that she is foul for using the abuse of women and children to attempt to score cheap political points during PMQs. Her behaviour upset survivors of CSA, but her supporters don't wish to acknowledge that.

What was she asking?

So foul = horrible human being (in your opinion), surely.

You have previously called her “foul”.

I haven't called her a horrible human being.

The Tories cut military personnel, then cut again. Badenoch should acknowledge that was a mistake. Instead, she is using the situation to scapegoat benefit claimants. I think that is a disgrace.

Labour has done some disgraceful things, too. But this thread is about Badenoch.

@ChardonnaysBeastlyCat where have I said we shouldn't be spending money on defence? I haven't. So no need for the Kumbaya nonsense.

Blueharmonica · 07/03/2026 13:12

I mean it’s a bit of a reach that she’s calling everyone stupid. If you are looking for politicians calling us stupid, the Government have claimed they are pro growth, have lowered energy bills, taxed children’s education to improve children’s education, employers tax increases have nothing to do with unemployment increases and men can grow a cervix.

Disgrace, horrible human being? Why?

Has she done something legitimately awful, like accept £100k in freebies, leak sensitive market information, been caught lying to the police, played fast and loose with her expenses, cheated on her taxes? - or does she just have a political opinion that you disagree with?

Drydrydry · 07/03/2026 12:58

To be clear Ithink reducing welfare spending and increasing defence spending are both excellent ideas.

Not sure why the Labour luvvies are getting their knickers in a twist..isn't Kemi meant to be an irrelevance...according to our misogynistic leader.

tutugogo · 07/03/2026 12:55

Cannot stand that woman, we do not want to be dragged into someone else’s squabble but allowing the USA to use their existing bases to bomb nuclear weapons facilities etc is proportionate. Starmer in my opinion is treading the right path including coordinating with our European partners. Glad we have a sensible lawyer in our highest office and not any of the crazies

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 07/03/2026 12:49

PandoraSocks · 07/03/2026 10:21

Badenoch really is a disgrace.

Why?

Defence spending is good for the economy and will bring employment, which will benefit working families.

Also, it seem the real world out there is not all peace and Kumbaya.
Do you want all those children to start learning Russian pronto?

So we're just thinking about ourselves here, are we? It doens't sound as though you want to hear anymore at all.

Who are you thinking about?

How can you expect to be taken seriously op when you make things up?

piscofrisco · 07/03/2026 08:36

The war is costing America a million dollars a day. Have we got a million quid a day to spend on an unnecessary war that we didn’t start?
Plus we just don’t have the capability. The conservatives cut defence spending and there is no money to reinstate it. We couldn’t effectively join this war even if we wanted to.

PoachedSmoke · 06/03/2026 11:51

She's right, though...

And with every passing day she's regaining my vote. It would be incredible to have a competent woman at the helm.

Don't vote for her party then. If you think Starmer is bad , she will be much, much worse. It was her party that cut spending on the armed forces through their miserable 14 years.
