I think Reform are a busted flush in terms of forming a government since they took in the Tory waifs and strays.

I'm actually proud to see a woman who is intelligent and articulate leading a major party, proud to see that it's someone fom a STEM background not some cardboard cut-out public school-educated career politician who thinks he'd like to have a go at it because he might be rather good at being PM.

Burnham is very popular in GM, and he is seen as separate to the government. He is already beaten Hannah Spencer in a mayoral election, she came fifth. Burnham was expected to win before he was blocked.
What is best for the country should come before what's best for Starmer., but we now know what his priorities are.

Because this is a thread about greens being elected and not specifically about that. Before you know it, the thread has gone off at a tangent and you've got 4,000 posts about that. Go and start another. It's boring it gets hijacked all the time by ppl just wanting to go on about that. Every bloody time. I think we all know plenty about it by now thank you very much..

I think if you consider the absolute hatred Muslims get just for being Muslim, the verbal, physical and online abuse they receive simply for daring to exist then we should honestly be concerned about young people being radicalised. I think back to the lovely young Muslim boy in my school who was verbally abused/punched/spat on and bullied so horrifically that Im not sure that (unlike him) I’d have become a functional and useful member of society. I think I’d have in some way been very easily manipulated into believing that the people who bullied me deserved retaliation. If we don’t treat people with dignity because of their beliefs or let’s be honest, skin colour, then we are going to suffer the consequences of easily radicalised people seeking revenge.
If we treat people respectfully and not with hatred because they’re not white, then we have less risk of kids being manipulated into radicalisation.
I can’t believe this is a controversial take, if you make life shit for people who simply want to exist, if they’re bullied and shunned from society for being different, then it ends badly.

A young butcher from a halal butcher on tiktok is doing the absolute most to prove how well his family have integrated into society. They are kind, charitable, celebrate Christmas, couldn’t do more to be decent society members. The abuse he gets from plebends that haven’t ever given anything to society but dealt weed to teenagers is shocking.

Maybe Britain needs more love and acceptance and less division to combat the current shit show.
I’ve voted green on and off since I turned 18, loved Caroline Lucas and I love Zach. Let’s be real, most people are politically homeless.

We have been dragged into wars/CoL/NHS failure. Why not try a different approach? I’d rather be taxed highly and have services I can use. I’d rather housing wasn’t a fucking luxury. Food and heat weren’t. Im sorry if your taxes are going to rise, but ultimately, like is said of the working classes also, you’ve had it too good for to long.

All parties want better education, better living standards, better environment, better nhs etc. why wouldn't they? It would be wonderful for everyone and keep them in power for ages. The problem is that those things cost a huge amount of money and someone has to pay for them. Apparently that is the Billionaires. If the Greens got in, the number of Billionaires in the UK would go from very few to none. Even if some billionaires stayed it wouldn't makea dent. Which means the Greens are lying or very bad at maths.

The reality of having the Greens in power is that the country would get poorer and everyone's standard of living would get worse, except for the Billionaires who would have moved to another country.
