Why nothing on the BBC about the grooming gangs?

So then, a letter has been sent to the Secretary of State for Justice:

https://forums-images.pistonheads.com/140241/202602117397159

Nothing much has materialised yet in terms of an official UK Government enquiry, but an MP led enquiry has been moving forward at some pace and the emerging details and sheer scale and proliferation of what has happened seems unfathomable. An excerpt from a judge’s sentencing remarks in one such rape gang trial paints a truly disturbing picture:

https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s!AbZo!,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F9af08984-8e32-411b-a677-415f8247a92c_1654x870.png_

So why is what is likely the most far-ranging and sordid scandal in UK modern history, with many 1,000's of abused, drugged and raped young British girls, (mostly underage) getting hardly any attention from our mainstream media?

I don't understand it either. Where is all the coverage? It's absolutely horrific.

I think it's abhorrent whatever the origin of the perpetrators, however the enquiry we are discussing here focuses on the systematic and highly coordinated sexual abuse and rape of thousands of young white girls, over decades, across many major UK cities, and perpetrated by gangs of men of mostly Pakistani Muslim origin, which has then been covered up by the UK police and government, seemingly to preserve the illusion of multiculturalism and for other reasons relating to votes, power, complicity and corruption.

EXACTLY

5MinuteArgument · 12/02/2026 11:20

This is what we get for importing clan based misogynistic cultures to come and live in our poorest neighbourhoods. It's happening in dozens of towns and cities across the UK: grooming gangs, sectarian politics, fraud and corruption in local government.

No wonder the BBC and most Labour politicians pretend it's not happening. It completely upends their delusion that multiculturalism in Britain is a success.

I’d imagine it’s because it’s not so much an inquiry as a Rupert Lowe self promotion opportunity. No reputable media outlet with decent editorial guidelines would be reporting this as an inquiry because isn’t a statutory inquiry even if the people running it call it one.

And as for not materialising, the official inquiry has appointed a chair and is currently in the middle of the public consultation, which ends next month if you wish to do something useful. As is entirely proper for actual inquiries.

It would be really nice if people stopped using the victims of VAWG for their own gain. There’s an awful lot of it about at the moment.

I hadn't even realised this isn't the official enquiry - which apparently Baroness Anne Longfield will lead, over three years, with a budget of £65m.

This is Rupert Lowe with £600,000 raised through crowdfunding, sat in a room for two weeks.

If you in any way think that's about what's good for the victims, you are deluded.

It would be nice if people listened to the survivors of sexual violence rather than telling them what they should and shouldn’t be doing.

I don't know much about Rupert Howe, but what will he gain from this?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 12/02/2026 11:15

Several of the survivors resigned from the official inquiry. They feel they are being heard in this one. It’s survivor led. Do you realise how callous you sound to many people?

This makes me so angry. Don't tell the truth or it will whip up racial tension?? What those men did and are still doing is what's whipping up racial tension.

Have you read any of the testimonies of those tortured girls? Told they deserved it because they are 'White pig dogs/white whores' etc.

And do you honestly think that they targeted white British girls because they were more available to them - Asian Pakistani men - than Asian girls living in their community? Or perhaps you're saying British girls are suffering the consequences of their freedoms? Should we keep our young girls in the house more, lest they tempt the racist, torturing rapists?

Someone literally used the words “reaping what they sowed” re colonialism on another thread.

SidekickSylvia · 12/02/2026 11:11

BishyBarnyBee · 12/02/2026 10:25

I think it's very possible that institutional fear of being seen as racist allowed gangs to operate with impunity.

But I think this is the narrative being pushed - that they did it because of "hatred of young British girls" - just whips up racial tension and adds a meaning that may not be there.

Because actually, like all the other abusers, they chose the vulnerable victims they thought they could get away with. A significant number of men hate and despise women. Violence and abuse have been endemic in every layer of our society, and other societies. I don't understand it, I know not all men are like that, but lots, of all races and classes, are.

The focus on young British girls is likely to reflect the non-availability of young Asian girls who may be allowed far less freedom and spend less time out of the home than white

Many of the men frothing at the mouth about young British girls being abused by Pakistani men are quite happy to ignore the statistics about male violence against women and girls. A significant number of people arrested in last years riots - which were all about "protecting our girls" - had criminal records for domestic abuse.

This is what makes me quite cynical about the motives of those choosing to focus on one subset of abuse.

If there was a white grooming gang (or more to the point an interconnected network of them, as here) specifically preying on young Muslim girls, which there very well might be, I simply don’t believe that people wouldn’t think that racism was involved. You can say what you like, I don’t believe it.

I think this crosses political lines, I’m suspicious of anyone criticising this as being political. Listening to a woman talk about being abused as a child and doing something about it isn’t a political act it is about justice. Regardless of how you would vote in a general election or your views on immigration, a massive injustice has been committed and trying to silence people is the same as saying people are “weaponising rape” which is the most vomit inducing phrase I have ever come across in my life and what some of the criticisms of this enquiry sound like.

Either children were raped or they weren’t. Either it was covered up or it wasn’t. It’s extremely simple to my mind. Either we listen to victims who are speaking out to make sure people are held to account or we ignore them so we don’t give succour to reform (who by the way kicked Lowe out if their party, he’s an independent). To my mind being on the right side here is to side with the victims.

I’m really sick of accusations of weaponising atrocities against children, it’s so dismissive. Girls were talking about having keys shoved in their vaginas. It’s so grotesque and yet people will say “ssssshhhhhh you don’t want to look racist do you”.

Absolutely agree. The right of these girls to be heard is more important than politics. If the left won’t listen, what do they fucking expect?

MaturingCheeseball · 12/02/2026 10:47

What is dispiriting is the attitude of the perpetrators’ womenfolk. Accepting that their husbands/sons etc have “needs” and it doesn’t matter because the girls are “trash”.

maybethisyear · 12/02/2026 10:44

PollyBell · 11/02/2026 23:11

And what about the parents where are they in all this?

From those that I met, they were in an impossible position. The children would come home intermittently, stay fo a few days, then go off with their ‘boyfriends’. The parents weren’t able to lock them up. The girls could refuse to come home ever so doors were kept open, even if all they did for the few days at home was sleep, cry and eat until they felt better.

The photos of the girls were in some hotels/guest houses, so they just avoided those areas and moved around the conurbation.

The degree of psychological damage is unfathomable in some of the youngsters I have seen.

Also, girls co-erced into recruiting others so that in some environments, the victims had to be separate to other vulnerable individuals due to the risk of recruitment. Its horrific.

BishyBarnyBee · 12/02/2026 10:38

I have raised this to make my point that we can't assume that the Pakistani grooming gangs exist as part of some kind of Muslim war on white people.

They exist as part of the male war on women and girls.

Yet the evidence presented by the victims to date suggests there might be a specific problem here, far more organised, and out of all proportionality with the abuse perpetrated per capita by white British people. Which is why there is an enquiry. So surely worth looking into eh, despite our Government best attempts to hide the evidence (attempting to delete court records and inadequate recording of perpetrator ethnicity).

Some of us, perhaps especially those of us who were abused by white men or in predominantly white institutions, are a bit bemused by seeing sexual abuse weaponised by anti immigrant politicians (the grooming gangs) or anti-Starmer politicians (the Epstein papers).

It's almost as if some people only care about abuse when it serves their political aims. Whereas the truth is, wherever there are men, there is abuse, and it has often been covered up, ignored or not taken seriously.

The same papers that are now baying for blood absolutely normalised perving on young girls, using 16 year old Page 3 models, counting down to child celebrities turning 16 etc.

Reform have accepted money from Crispin Odey, who has multiple accusations of sexual misconduct and Reform MP James McMurdoch was jailed for physical abuse of his girlfriend. You will find abuse and misogyny in every class, race and institution. The only common factor is that the perpetrators are overwhelmingly men, with a tiny number of women actively involved - not unheard of but very, very rare.

I am seeing Reform post the graphic details of the grooming gang assaults on Facebook and my heart weeps for those poor girls. But I don't believe Reform have any interest in rape victims unless they can make political capital out of them.

Yet if Rupert Lowe and others had not launched this enquiry, where would we be? I don't see any desire for the current or previous government to investigate? So it would it remain covered up for another few decades to protect the political careers of the current establishment. If this isn't the definition of using something for your own political capital then I don't know what is. Ironic eh, and it means that this argument falls flat on it's face. Meanwhile, without this independent enquiry, thousands of white working class girls would continue to be raped, abused and tortured in the years ahead at the hands of these disgusting monsters.

@BishyBarnyBee that rape gang are so different from the ones investigated. One the two children involved were from one of the women two they were not trafficked all over the country by different groomers it was in one area one house none the less disgusting

Tenbywonder · 12/02/2026 10:33

BishyBarnyBee · 12/02/2026 10:29

But if you listened to the account of these survivors of a white grooming gang you would be equally appalled. If Reform quoted from the trial in the way they are about the Pakistani gangs, we would all be outraged. But they won't because they are only interested in the gangs that further their agenda.

Yep.

This is why GB news are racist to bring it up, because they never report on the white grooming gangs, who are by far the largest number of perpetrators.

Almost 85% of the UK population is white, versus around 6.5% of the UK population is Muslim. Yet it has been estimated that in some Muslim communities predominantly located in cites such as Rochdale, Bradford, Luton, London, etc, etc, a significant proportion of men have been actively involved in these grooming gangs. Yet there has been no condemnation from community leaders. Why is that?

This is what the Rupert Lowe enquiry seeks to discover. The extent of the problem, who has been complicit, and who has been covering it up, so that the thousands of victims can feel some closure and the perpetrators can face justice. Surely we can all support this?

But feel free to start your own thread on white grooming gangs if you feel this deserves it, which it probably does. It shouldn't however be used as an excuse not to investigate, or to minimise the specific and abhorrent nature of these Muslim rape gangs though.

The evidence coming out is just horrific. The sheer hatred that those men must feel for young British girls is evident in the torture and degradation - it was/is far more than sexual.
Where's the true racism? What those men did, or us talking about it?
