Why nothing on the BBC about the grooming gangs?

So then, a letter has been sent to the Secretary of State for Justice:

https://forums-images.pistonheads.com/140241/202602117397159

Nothing much has materialised yet in terms of an official UK Government enquiry, but an MP led enquiry has been moving forward at some pace and the emerging details and sheer scale and proliferation of what has happened seems unfathomable. An excerpt from a judge’s sentencing remarks in one such rape gang trial paints a truly disturbing picture:

https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s!AbZo!,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F9af08984-8e32-411b-a677-415f8247a92c_1654x870.png_

So why is what is likely the most far-ranging and sordid scandal in UK modern history, with many 1,000's of abused, drugged and raped young British girls, (mostly underage) getting hardly any attention from our mainstream media?

@Changingplace there seems to be alot of paedophile apologists in the Labour Party and Jess Phillips is one of them along side our prime minister so not surprising those girls don’t trust them. Now Lord Ali has been mentioned in the Epstein files

@Changingplace this was seen as a whitewash and bullshit by the survivors no ?

It was only established in Dec 2025 and hasn’t published anything yet, I fully accept it’s taken far too long to happen and survivors deserve it to have happened sooner but until anything has been released it’s very difficult to judge what the outcomes will be.

The one where virtually all the recommendations weren’t implemented (by the former government) was this independent inquiry;

Imdunfer · 13/02/2026 08:53

The Independent Enquiry cannot be seen to be, and most likely cannot be, independent while ever it is heard by someone at the top of UK politics. Especially not someone from the party that tried so desperately to suppress it.

The obvious answer was a Canadian, Australian, anyone but British or Northern Irish.

Yeah totally, skimmed the surface of the issue with barely even lip service paid to the victims, and no acknowledgement of the specific problem, nor the huge nationwide scope of the problem.

Still no interest from the BBC or other mainstream media. But from Rupert Lowe this afternoon:

"Today marks the end of the survivor participation for our rape gang inquiry hearings. I simply have no words that describe the bravery and courage of these women who have come forward. No words. What they have been through is indescribable.

It has been a life-changing experience for me. I never thought such evil was possible. Never. Not here, in Britain. In our towns, in our communities. It is pure evil. These men are so utterly depraved. If it were up to me, thousands of them would receive the death penalty. To do what they did, on such an industrial scale, to innocent young girls - many of whom were already in such an incredibly vulnerable place? There is no redemption possible. The world is a better place without them in it.

I started this inquiry because so many others failed. Speaking honestly, I did not understand how deep this evil is rooted in our society. Police, politicians, council officials, the NHS, social workers, children’s homes - it is everywhere. IS everywhere. Not was. IS.

Meeting these women, and men, listening to how severely they were failed by those tasked to protect them? My views have changed forever. I knew it was bad. I never knew how bad it was. Every single one who has come forward is a hero in my view. The courage and grace in how they have conducted themselves is unlike anything I have seen in my life. All because they don’t want others to suffer the same fate. That is an extraordinary sacrifice. They could have just moved on with their lives. Tried to forget. But no, they chose to do this. I am in awe of all of them.

Our hearings will finish tomorrow, following the contribution of three more expert witnesses. Then the next stage begins. We will produce a report, and then we will seek to put people in prison. There are FAR more testimonies and evidence to release - this will keep coming and coming and coming.

Even with a media blackout, we have reached tens of millions. We have made real progress. And following such immense demand, we will reopen the portal so that more women can tell their stories.

This is just the beginning. Politicians from all parties have failed these girls, again and again and again. I do not intend to join that list.

To everyone who donated, thank you. To our team, thank you. And especially to the survivors, thank you. I believe that together we can start to make Britain understand what is happening, and then finally do something about it."

There has never been a national inquiry into these gangs.

Also where's the hate for all the UK born groomers? Sickening regardless what gang they're from

That’s called ‘whataboutery’ and deflection.

I’m no fan of Starmer, but this is demonstrably untrue. We have had numerous inquiries into grooming gangs at a regional and national level. Including the large national one, the conclusion of which was that we needed to stop having inquiries and start putting the recommendations of those inquiries into practice. He refused the inquiry on the basis that it would be better to spend time and money preventing the grooming gangs rather than having another inquiry. He did however commission the head of the last national inquiry to look into whether there were aspects that may warrant a further national inquiry. When that report came back suggesting that it would be worthwhile he commissioned one.

Honestly at this point I would stake every pemny I have on Starmer getting the blame for having time and money on having another inquiry when this one comes back with the same recommendation as the previous 27.

No it's true I'm afraid. If you knew anything much about the issues then you would know why previous enquiries have fallen way short of the mark and have utterly failed these young girls. So far as I am aware no one in authority covering up, complicit in, and turning a blind eye to this has been arrested or jailed. Ask yourself why not?

Labour party would appear stuffed full of disgusting pedo's, and these are just some of those we know about:

Keir Starmer didn't want an enquiry. Jess Phillips described it as a 'dog whistle' issue. 350 Labour MP's voted against an enquiry.

But then again, following the Epstein revelations, the Labour cabinet seems stuffed with pedo sympathisers or hangers-on. Starmer was head of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) when the decision not to prosecute Jimmy Saville was made on the grounds of “insufficient evidence”.

Sadly there is a common theme developing here, and at the very least we can safely say that the current government does not care one jot about the safety of children in the UK. At worst, I shudder to think.

Yeah sorry, that's correct I think.

The thought of it is nightmarish, and to think people didn’t think there should be an official inquiry, let alone any unofficial ones.

Thanks Ereshkigalangcleg, page 11 is particularly harrowing. Poor 'GH' was only 11 years old, with profoundly disabled parents, which is why they targeted her. For the poster that asked 'Where were their parents?' The men threatened to kill them, and their families if they told their parents. Some of the victims did tell them, despite the threats and then the men would threaten the parents, safe in the knowledge that all authorities involved would look the other way.

Imagine going to the police because your child is being anally gang raped, and the police do nothing other than warn the rapists that you're on to them, resulting in threats of having your house burned down in the night. So what's next, social services? They'll put your child in care because you've failed to safeguard them. Go to the press? They won't touch it because it might ignite racial tensions.

The link above is from 2013, yet this is still happening all over the country and it has been happening for decades. Why isn't it on every news channel and front page of every paper? Why is it allowed to continue?

Because this country has become a collection of spineless, unprincipled cowards. Heartless and selfish too, more concerned with the shallow and superficial - what someone thinks of them - rather than what is right, to do justly and protect and care for others. That applies not just to those with a professional duty of care (who should hang their heads in shame), but everyyone should look out for the vulnerable.

The sentencing remarks from the Oxford rape gang trial in 2013. Warning, the details are horrific.

And for anyone who seems to be trying to use 'whataboutery' to attempt to shut down debate, or minimise what these young girls went through because 'white people sometimes abuse too', might I suggest you read some of the recent court transcripts relating to these gangs. Horrifying stuff, and if it was a daughter of your's, you'd want this properly investigating without moronic and callous individuals trying to smear you as racist etc.

Might I suggest you find out more here, but be warned, it is disturbing stuff that has gone on:

https://www.spiked-online.com/2025/01/23/the-grooming-gangs-scandal-is-far-worse-than-you-think/

Spiked on line are a great news outlet. They're doing the job that the BBC should be doing.

All the BBC and like minded useful idiots in government want to do is to spew out propaganda about how enriched we are by multiculturalism. Well, it won't wash any more.

SidekickSylvia · 12/02/2026 14:01

Very powerful opening speech from Sammy, I hope those poor children receive justice. Some were as young as four years old. There were parents fined and arrested for trying to safeguard their children.
People saying 'but white men' are missing the point; the police, social services, NHS and politicians didn't look away or actively help any other demographic.
One testimony reveals that the police returned the victim to her rapists after arresting her. They apologised to her rapists for the inconvenience. I have no idea how anyone involved in this is able to sleep, they must have no soul.

GreenCandleWax · 12/02/2026 13:45

SidekickSylvia · 12/02/2026 09:31

The evidence coming out is just horrific. The sheer hatred that those men must feel for young British girls is evident in the torture and degradation - it was/is far more than sexual.
Where's the true racism? What those men did, or us talking about it?

Hatred of women in general and of western culture in general. Nobody dares challenge their toxic beliefs. We have become a nation of spineless appeasers.

But if you listened to the account of these survivors of a white grooming gang you would be equally appalled. If Reform quoted from the trial in the way they are about the Pakistani gangs, we would all be outraged. But they won't because they are only interested in the gangs that further their agenda.

Glasgow child sex abuse gang given life sentences - BBC News

The white Glasgow abusers have been brought to justice and sentenced. Can we say the same about all the Pakistani "grooming gangs"?

Perhaps it's because the very institutions that should have protected the girls were afraid of being labelled racist and Islamosceptic. So ordinary people will keep quiet for fear of the same slurs.

Absolutely no principles involved anywhere, then? 😲
