The US is important, and it’s good to know what’s going on there. Ditto it’s good to know what’s making the headlines in China, Russia, India, other important places.

It’s bad if our sense of the most burning injustices just follows along from what’s newsworthy in the US.

I see it as hugely concerning that the USA has abandoned any pretence of Democracy, is threatening other countries (is it 3, 4 or 5 today?) & is willing to discard NATO. The US as financial backer of European military stability (since WW2) is gone, and that's a seismic change.
All our taxes will need to rise / services be cut to fund an increase in military spending.
The US is being terrorised by ICE & Renee Goods murder was emblematic of that.
