Preferably in this country (UK) but could be international. One person who seems inspiring, hard working, well intentioned, pioneering or any other characteristic you admire.

I quite admire Keir Starmer.

He is really hard working and does seem to be more focused on delivery than show. And, apart from a bit of initial silliness (free flashy glasses), he does seem to want to work for the electorate more than himself.

But, so far, he lacks charisma and any genuinely interesting new ideas.

Jess Phillips, I listen to the ‘electoral dysfunction’ podcast she co hosted until she became a minister and she seemed like a principled lady (until I’m corrected). I’m a bit disappointed with Angela Raynor as I always thought she was over criticised by the media as she was a working class self made woman so she should have known to watch her back and be squeaky clean.

Rosie Duffield, treated appallingly by Labour. She was threatened and they refused to stand by her. I will never forgive Labour and KS for that.

Wes Streeting. I believe him to be a good, decent man who genuinely wants to do right and make things better.

My sadness about him is that he’s just come up through the student hack route and has no proper experience of working in business.

But I honestly believe his heart is good and that he is sensible and well-intentioned.

I think people are asking to be disappointed calling for 'inspiring'. But we should be able to aspire to 'hard working, thoughtful, has integrity'.

There are loads of backbenchers who do work very hard. Some good people can't rise through the ranks because they have personal principles they won't compromise.

The electorate is ultimately in charge.

Well we will see at the next election which will probably be sooner than 2029 as Rachel Reeves looks like she's about to crash the economy. But Labour won't win. Reform and the Conservatives will probably do a pact for the sake of the country.

Im UK i have had direct dealings with Tom
Tugendhat and while I am not conservative he has a good way to present himself. And was a remainer for EU I believe he will stand for leadership again one day. I think he would have been better than Liz Truss.

Nigel Farage.

Not because I agree with his policies; I voted Remain & won’t be voting for Reform. In my view Brexit has been a disaster for the U.K. and for Europe.

But because of the way he has almost single-handedly moved the Overton window, given a voice to the views of millions of ordinary working class people & changed British politics. And done this while maintaining a place in legitimate mainstream politics. His political skill is remarkable and he is already the most influential British politician since Thatcher. If he wins the next election & becomes PM it would be a historic moment.

I don’t get why people say it’s Rachel Reeves messing up the economy- surely it’s the heritage of the Cons and Brexit which has done that? the legacy of debt from the last government will take years to recover from.
