Exactly this! 😀
He's alive. It's just X that is rife with rumours.

Evil doesn't die

Reallyneedsaholiday · 30/08/2025 15:53

Are we talking “still breathing” or “brain dead”?

If he is dead I doubt it’ll be for long as he’s a really fast healer you know ..

Just like his bestie Putin.

I think if he’d died he would have tweeted about it.

I could be wrong but I think this all started because of a picture that circulated of him where he has a bruise on the back of his hand (possibly from an IV) and queen Elizabeth had the same bruise when Liz Truss was made president and then she passed a couple of days later.

I missed Liz Truss being president. What was she president of?

Lettuce?

Why would he be dead though? It’s not exactly common for people even at his age to drop dead from being perfectly healthy. Seems somewhat random

Isn’t he 79?! I’d have said it was very common to suddenly drop dead at that age. Heart attack, stroke etc. Especially for men who are definitely not in perfect health… he has already been diagnosed with various age related things and is widely assumed to be senile. He’s the oldest present in US history.

Vance would have to pick a VP (which may well be Johnson) but then Johnson would have to resign as speaker (and leave the House).

The succession is POTUS<-VPOTUS<-Speaker of the Representatives<-President of Senate and then through the cabinet.

As Gerald Ford showed, you can end up with a POTUS that nobody technically voted for (see also: Truss, Sunak).

See also Wilson/Callaghan; Blair/Brown.

I don't wish him dead but I'd love to see him in prison.

Same here. He has a lot to answer for before he dies.

There’s no proof my uncle who I’m going to see later is arrive until I get there. That doesn’t mean he’s dead. Most people are alive for the vast majority of the time.

I mean, I’m presuming your uncle is slightly less famous.

Likewise. Same with the traitor who suspended our Parliament unlawfully, Boris Johnson.

I actually think the alternative (Vance) is worse.

Much worse. And clever too.

Quite common, heart attack or stroke. Assassination or suicide (not likely). We also have no idea how healthy he is, no one would be allowed to say if he wasn't.

True 😬

Agreed, but hopefully he's not going to pick up the MAGA cult following and other Republicans will grow a pair.

He has now entered the chrysalis stage and will be revealed in his new form. It will be more beautiful than anything anyone has ever seen. He will be greater and more powerful than anyone has ever been. He will be loved and admired more than anyone has ever been.

😂Trump with wings!

Sounds too close to the next step towards the Devil incarnate though.

Edited

You have to resort to attacking someone's appearance? Embarrassing

No, just rotting from the inside out, only way too slowly.

What is that Roald Dahl quote about seeing sunbeams from faces of kind people - he’s the exact opposite.

It's somewhat embarassing and cringeworthy that people take the time to make up fake news about famous people.

It's like that one annoying kid at school who just makes stuff up and tells it to other people as if it's fact.

Yeah, that and his incredibly swollen ankles. Thats what i thought it stemmed from.

SerendipityJane · 30/08/2025 15:32

Takoneko · 30/08/2025 15:13

It’s not like the U.K. There’s no vote of no confidence or replacing him with someone the base prefers. There is a fixed order of succession. Vance would be the president for the rest of the term. If Vance died or was impeached and convicted (which has never happened) next in line is Mike Johnson, but I just can’t see any world in which that happens.

Vance would have to pick a VP (which may well be Johnson) but then Johnson would have to resign as speaker (and leave the House).

The succession is POTUS<-VPOTUS<-Speaker of the Representatives<-President of Senate and then through the cabinet.
