No good will come of you, wishing people dead. No matter how disliked the person is.

Remember, what goes around comes around.
And before you tell me to bore off, it's a true saying.

Bullshit. I’ll continue to sleep easy at night, as always.

PInkyStarfish · 30/08/2025 17:35

What a disgusting post.

No one will shed a tear for Mr Trump. But it is fascinating that anti-Trumpers are doing their best to paint him as demented.

Presumably late, bitter and desperate spite about the exposure of Biden being doo-lally and its cover up.

This really isn't all that recent, you know.

A lot of people have been pointing out Trump's serious inabilities with such details as coherent English sentences, truth, facts, and actual English words (covefe, anyone?) since very early in his first term. More recently during that same term his trouble with walking, particularly on ramps, was widely noted.

How many people with all their marbles claim to know more than everybody else about "science" because they had (but didn't particularly know as far as anyone can find out) an uncle who taught at a university, but can't recall when, or what that uncle taught? And then claim the uncle taught someone who didn't go to university (not the one the uncle taught at) until after the uncle had died, and that the uncle made comments about that person?

If I had an elderly relation like Trump, I'd be on this board asking how to get him to see a doctor about his health. He's far gone in fantasy.

A true saying? do you mean there is proof that, 'what goes around comes around'? Can you explain a little please?

No idea why some of the comments are telling commentators off for wishing and hoping that a rapist SA, con man and thoroughly despicable individual has carked it.
I for one, will be cracking open the champagne when that great day happens.
For now, it will have to stay on ice.

I don't wish him dead but I'd love to see him in prison.

I'd crack open the chamgagne

Is Trump dead?

ThejoyofNC · 30/08/2025 15:59

No you're not, if you'd happily say that about someone.

Is it the saying things out loud that you don't like, or do you genuinely not hope for the death of the person who is knowingly responsible for so many deaths, and will continue to cause vast numbers more? If the latter, would anything make you change your mind? For example if your children were in the firing line? I'm interested in your thought process here. Would you have felt the same way about the top Nazis in the 1930s and 40s, assuming that you'd known exactly what they were doing?

jumpingthehighjump · 30/08/2025 17:26

Okaaaay whatever you say. SerendipityJ.
I think my posts are annoying you so I'll steer clear if that helps.

Back to the subject, as far as Trump and dementia, I don't think he is suffering from it per se but having seen footage of him interviewed over the years, he definitely cannot speak anywhere near as coherently as he used to. He doesn't appear able to expand on a subject, or answer a question

Looking on X. his last post was on the 30th of July. He has obviously been active on social media (and supposedly post recently on that other platform he loves 🙄), but does he delete his posts or something? Or has he actually not posted in nearly a month? That’s actually quite odd. Not odd as in I think he’s dead, because I don’t, but odd as in fishy looking at his posting history up to that point.

I wonder if someone (finally!) has stopped his access to social media given the shite he spouts on there. I mean, it’s not THE most embarrassing thing he does, but holy moly, he regularly humiliates himself on various platforms. I’ve wondered why nobody has stopped him before now, although one imagines he just steam rollers anyone out of his way.

We live in hope.

Dreadful thing to say. You don't have to like him. He's still a person.

I think if he’d died he would have tweeted about it.

Ok, so when she got shot in the ear did she immediately realise what happened, react as she'd been trained, and once she knew the shooter was dead stand up and turn the situation into the greatest campaign moment, probably of all time?

Did she regularly carry out completely coherent hours long interviews, then get on q plane, fly for hours and then carry out an hours long rally? More than once in a short period? Did she do an average of two rallies a day for a month? Did she have surprisingly fantastic comedic timing when recounting the story of riding a garbage truck? Did she hold multiple facts about the many, many people he meets every week in his head and use them conversationally on camera, like Trump has been doing over and over again since January.

You don't have to like the man, but he is sharper now than most people will ever hope to be. Claiming he has dementia is utterly fucking disingenuous, especially when Biden was clearly already showing signs of it in 2020 and deteriorated horribly through his term to the point that he was an obvious victim of elder abuse by the end.

Oh and if Trump does have dementia, that makes him a victim of elder abuse too. If you really believed he was that I'll, you'd be criticising his abusers rather than victim blaming.

I too believe any dementia has been overstated.

As I say, I am trying to remain positive.

Collapse of the worlds largest industrial power into civil war and anarchy ? What will be the defining moments in the closing days of human history and we all have a ringside seat ?

There are people in history who would have died to be where we are.

Staying positive is a woke invention for snowflakes.

alittleprivacy · 30/08/2025 17:18

Oh. And Trump has been confirmed alive since 2.15pm GMT. Why are people still acting as if there is some mystery about whether or not he's alive three hours on?

jumpingthehighjump · 30/08/2025 17:17

SerendipityJane · 30/08/2025 17:13

No sure why you think they will go ahead. I mean suppose there is an emergency and they need to be cancelled ?

I have. My late DGM had it. She was slurring her words, struggled to stand, even with a zimmer frame on wheels, refused to be washed and shouted in her sleep. Plus other symptoms. Her dementia went from mid stage to advanced stage then death in 2 months.

Trump will be back. He is a teflon coated fuckwit, don't you know! 🙄 He also has this amazing ability to tweet from beyond the grave and recover. All reports of his demise will have been greatly exaggerated.

Anyway, who wants President Vance, apart from JD himself of course. He is many times worse than Trump.

There have been these rumours about many famous/infamous people in recent years - the Queen and Prince Philip well before their actual deaths, Vladimir Putin and the Princess of Wales to name but a few who spring to mind, and I am sure there may be others. All were bollocks.

Many of us would not be sad to see the back of Putin, but again, that triggers the question of who replaces him during the power vacuum he would leave.

I'm not wishing anyone dead. I don't like the status quo either (Trump, Vance, Putin etc.) but sometimes better the devil you know. Even though change, hopefully for the better, has to come at some point.

He has now entered the chrysalis stage and will be revealed in his new form. It will be more beautiful than anything anyone has ever seen. He will be greater and more powerful than anyone has ever been. He will be loved and admired more than anyone has ever been.

I think it's because no decent human being could ever believe that another human being is capable of evil, so seek solace in alternative explanations.

Naive, perhaps. But it's actually borne of a love for a fellow human.

In the way I don't think he has the support of MAGAts like Trump did.

I don't think I made it clear.

He doesn't need it.

Missed the fact that @HarrietBond had got there well before me! However, I think it's extremely disingenuous to say that having a fancy tomb is something that only happens to leaders who claimed to be left-wing. Kings, queens, emperors and pharaohs for thousands of years have spent obscene sums on their monuments. As a general rule, they all believed in the hereditary principle, the divine rule of kings and keeping the rest of the populace in their place, not characteristics notably associated with being left-wing.
