This migrant problem is going to let Reform in isn’t it?

Honestly it’s such a bloody nightmare. Reform are making a total hash of local government from what I’ve read, putting teenagers in charge of whole departments with no relevant experience. What are they going to do if they are elected to run a country!!!! I’m honestly terrified. Labour need to be seen to be actively doing something to quell the far-right momentum that’s gaining traction from ordinary folk. I’m amazed at the average, usually pretty sensible people around me who are now telling me they are going to vote Reform.

there was an interview I saw yesterday where the minister said that thousands of people were being deported regularly. The interviewer asked why there were no videos of this and she said there could be. Well let’s see it! It would absolutely help.

No, I don't actually want to leave so I will do everything I can to stop Reform getting in. But if they do get in - and I think they probably will - then I will have no option but to go.

Near to where I live a 12 year old has been raped by a migrants who allegedly came over on a dinghy. Of course people are angry. These people should be sent back immediately. It's almost always boats full of males. Reform will stop these boats by pulling the UK out of the ECHR and creating a UK Bill of Rights.

It's happening everywhere and it's being buried by the media as they are afraid of riots breaking out up and down the country. DH says the mood feels like all it would take is one spark. The tension is palpable.

I have found myself actively hoping the conservatives combine with reform. I dislike and distrust both parties but I've come to the conclusion that there is no one else to turn to. Labour are trash, I actually loathe Starmer more than any other PM in my lifetime excepting the abomination that is Truss.
This country is spiralling down rapidly. Social media fans the flames rapidly, no doubt. But it isn't the root cause, I see what I see with my own eyes. Every nation has its faction of society that is hopeless, lawless and without decency - that is a fact of life. But what I have seen though mine and DH's work (public services) is that we've allowed in far too many of those types from other nations, as if we didn't have enough of our own already. I suspect the cumulative cost of this has been greater than any of us can bear to imagine. And it has been such a very, very long time since we had a government with intelligence, integrity, discernment and the ability to put their nation before personal gain.

They want to create a feeling of lawlessness within the country so they can argue that they are the only party that can put a stop to this. Nigel Farage is treading a very interesting line - saying that some of the protestors have gone too far but….

Couldn't leave yet even if we wanted to, because my elderly dad is still alive and i have to care for him. I don't think he'll last until the next election, though, and if he did, the horror of a Reform victory would probably finish him off anyway.

I honestly think we are going to have to give up. Realistically, no one gets deported, or if they do they hop straight back in again. Even rapists etc have legal teams fighting against deportation.

Italy are paying Libya to hold the line. Now Libya has turned to Greece (huge numbers arriving there) and demanded money in return for stalling migrants. Every country will be funnelling on migrants through. The UK is the magnet.
