Scared about a poll I read where Reform wins outright in First Past the Post????

I guess we are years away from a General Election, but I am scared about the rise in populism and the seemingly popular Reform. I think it would be unthinkable to have Farage as our Prime Minister. I don't want a small state, private NHS, racist far right populist, Trumpist in charge of the country.

I know MN is generally fairly anti Reform, Brexit etc, but where are all these Reform voters. I don't know anyone personally who has admitted they would vote for them? Is it the all the disenfranchised young men?

No, obviously not. I live my life in ways that I hope are good for the environment. Recycle, walk and public transport as much as I can, mend rather than buy new, etc.
But the net zero policies will bankrupt this country for no good reason, because countries such as China, India and America are pumping out far more CO2 that our net zero policies could ever make a dent in.

We need to stop equating reform voters=bad. It's getting old.

But as far as I'm concerned, Reform voters are bad if they actually understand what they're voting for.

A Reform government would be an absolute disaster for this country, and the responsibility would sit squarely with those who voted them in.

I accept that some will vote Reform without having the ability to fully understand the choice that they're making, and I wouldn't hold those people responsible.

So we should just give up then and burn the planet to a crisp? Personally it doesn’t really matter because I’ll die soon anyway but I do care about future generations. And, of course the more uninhabitable regions close to the Equator become, the more migrants there will be to more temporate zones. So there is that.

Anyway, wouldn't PR deliver more seats to Regirm* rather than fewer? They won more votes than Lib Dems in the GE, but gained far fewer seats. PR would have delivered a better result.

It is worrying that some posters almost seem to be encouraging the notion of riots/unrest on here and other threads. I would be careful. MN deleted a whole series of threads for doing that during the pandemic.

*Typo, but seems apt. Nonsensical name for a nonsensical party.

Farage's plans for the NHS are worrying. He says he doesn't want it funded via general taxation, but is being very coy about what he would do instead.
