i don’t agree with Trump on much but he is right that the type of rampant racism and terrorism support going on in parts of the us should be addressed.

The us has a pretty robust legal system- of course it’s not perfect. I can’t really follow your second point but of course all racism should be addressed. That includes the horrendous racial abuse and even violence faced by American jews since 7 October. And support for racist terror organisations by foreign students is not ok.

Criticising the state of Israel's stance on Gaza is a political opinion, and by the way, one also shared by a number of Jews both in and outside of Israel. This student has been quite brutally plucked out of her life by masked officers as if she was a criminal. There is no way her treatment can be justified.

This shocked the pants off me. I first heard about it on the radio, just that a student had been rounded up, which I assumed was a knock at the door. As the details started to come out, I was horrified.

I don’t know if it will. It is clear this is am effort to intimidate the judiciary but you can see on this thread that people just shrug their shoulders and say they oh well they probably deserved to be arrested. It’s like there is a lack of comprehension of how democracy should work.
