Just be aware that Amazon is a platform for many small British businesses, most McDonald's are own by British franchises, ditto the hotel brands etc.

Realise that you are hurting local people often so do ensure you choose a replacement that equally benefits the U.K. (don't use the Chinese companies!)

@BillyILash - Yes, there is lots of misunderstanding around where goods and services come from. To take your example, Cadbury in Canada is made in Toronto. The company over all is owned by Mondelēz International. Which itself is being boycotted in many countries because of its Russian interests.

Nowhere in any agreement with Ukraine have we ever promised unlimited military assistance, boots on the ground or anything else. Everything we have promised has been at the discretion of the State Department and the Department of Defense, both of whom work directly for the president.

The world isn't black and white. Withdrawing support from Ukraine does not equal support of Russia, however much you might want to make the argument. We're bowing out because it is in our interest to do so. We're over-extended, and frankly don't wish to support you anymore. You get into too many wars, and you are sleep-walking into another one, with nukes.

Russia never gave the launch code to Ukraine, so the nukes were useless to them. The codes were kept in Russia and Russian military/KGB assets were placed in Ukraine to launch them if the order was given from Moscow.

Don’t you think that by cutting
off intelligence to Ukraine you support or aid Russia? The current administration of the US has repeatedly echoed Kremlin propaganda which is supporting Russia. There's so many very decent electric cars. No need to buy a Tesla. Others are just as good if not better! Shop around and don't be blinkered into think Tesla is the only EV worth buying.

The biggest difficulty is knowing what actually is American. It's not always obvious. However buying from Musk is avoidable.

Tesla sales are falling as they are expensive. Far more options on the market. Several Chinese makers making inroads. Price is king. Many people will switch from one monster to another.

Half the time people don't know what's American. On another thread a poster from Canada says she's buying Cadbury chocolate. It's British! No it's not. It's USA owned. We have little notion of parent companies. Just a vague idea. Ford and Vauxhall are USA owned. Vauxhall is Stellantis who also own Fiat, Peugeot and Citroen and Jeep amongst others. So always look behind the brand.

This. I have no idea what would be American in my day to day life, other than the obvious big names like Amazon, but even though Amazon is American owned, lots of uk businesses use it including small businesses, so do I boycott those because their main selling platform is American?

if I had a list of American companies and their products, I’d happily see what I could easily boycott, but I doubt many would only impact American businesses, there will be links to UK businesses everywhere.

I do want peace but not a the price of rewarding Putin. I am worried that Trump has some business interests with respect to Russia because it makes no sense lifting sanctions and removing support for Europe and the Ukraine.

It's a very tricky position because our economy and military are woven tightly to America and now we face a neutral America at best and at worst a possible serious enemy.

What the hell do we do? America is a now refusing to share intelligence with the United Kingdom because they don't want it passing to the Ukraine.

I honestly think now is the time to consider an military position against Russia but consider this how else can we defend the Ukraine without providing air support, troops and navy.
