I donโ€™t really know much about her (going on an evening google hunt) but listening to her speech earlier and how she handled the press I really like her confidence/bluntness to some of the questions answered.

No flip flopping with her answers like our UK politicians.

Whatโ€™s everyoneโ€™s thoughts on her? Is she well liked?

Bluntness is an attribute that can be admired if you risk rubbing powerful people the wrong way - not when you amplify their message.

Damn right. Well said ๐Ÿ‘

I second this ๐Ÿ‘

You are falling for the age old trick of populism, it's easy to for her while the audience is chosen and under complete control. Any real journalist has been barred from the press briefings and been replaced by unqualified influencers and bedroom broadcasters.

This is what you are cheering, the degradation of democracy and education. None of this is being sent to congress, everything is a controlled executive order.

America has trampled on its allies and you cheer, it's blamed the Ukraine for the war and you cheer, deported people who legally had the right to stay and you cheer, wages a trade war and you cheer despite the cost to normal people. I struggle with people like you because you are hell bent on burning everything decent for an ideology.

Damn right. Well said ๐Ÿ‘

Surely that is her job though - to act as spokesperson for the president and say what the Trump administration want her to say. If she starts going off piste with an alternative view, she won't last very long in the job.

Well yes, as an administration employee I expect her to follow the party line.

But I would also expect her to be briefed well enough, and smart enough to actually answer the questions people ask that pertain to the administrations initiatives. As someone on the inside of the administration, and as spokesperson, they should be well equipped to answer the press questions thoroughly whilst also keeping to the agreed party narrative. Just insulting people who ask questions that are difficult is not doing your job IMO.

Crikeyalmighty · 16/04/2025 10:29

shes thick as mince and just a mouthpiece. Dont care how qualified she is on paper , the fact sheโ€™s prepared to regurgitate Trumps nuts policies says it all for me.

I don't admire her lying and rudeness, but I do admire the confidence she exudes. she is a very good speaker.

I wouldn't call her a good speaker. She sticks like glue to her script and pre-prepared answers and almost never goes off piste, because she can't.

I suspect if she did deviate from the script she would stutter and run into trouble.

Sheโ€™s just there to make false sound bites that can be replayed to MAGAโ€™s. Sheโ€™s vile.

TulipTiptoer · 16/04/2025 08:41

She doesn't and shouldn't express 'views' but she should be telling the truth.

waltzingparrot · 16/04/2025 08:37

HighLadyofTheNightCourt · 12/04/2025 15:47

She's rude and patronising.

All she is doing is saying what the Trump administration wants her to say. It's embarrassing and I often wonder how she'll feel looking back in a few years time.

She really isn't. She learns lines, and she spouts them. She's not a good speaker because she doesn't tell the truth.

No truth or substance but exudes confidence, otherwise known as a CON(fidence) ARTIST.

MsBette · 16/04/2025 07:02

Sheโ€™ll say anything he tells her to.

Her confidence is , of course, impressive but I find her more of a puppet than an independent thinker. I wonder where her scruples would kick in. Will she genuinely say anything he tells her to? The Canada and Greenland stuff, we had a laugh about. But Trump could be truly dangerous. Where is her line?

TerroristToddler · 16/04/2025 06:57

This has to be a wind up surely!?! Are you for real?

Shes an awful communicator- on the basis she doesnโ€™t actually answer any questions with any substance or explain anything. Just parrots Trumpsโ€™s inane BS about how itโ€™ll all work out and the entire world has been screwing them for years etc. what we need from a press secretary is to actually provide context, colour and explanations so that the electorate (and rest of world) can get behind the initiatives- otherwise the expectation is to just blindly accept when Trump says โ€œitโ€™s gonna be a beautiful thingโ€โ€ฆ well okay, but what the hell does that actually mean or look like? How will the uS overcome the hurdles in the meantime? Thatโ€™s what she should be answering with confidence and clarity. The fact she just insults media that ask difficult questions and never actually answers the question shows she is neither clever nor a good communicator IMO.

vile woman serving a vile administration.

She lies and obfuscates, she is part of a terrible cult seemingly determined to destroy their own country, cannot begin to comprehend why anyone would admire her.

Zeitumschaltung · 16/04/2025 06:51

This is exactly what makes this kind of politics attractive to stupid people. Itโ€™s easy to communicate when you arenโ€™t restricted by the truth and there are no consequences (yet) to your actions.

@JoyousEagle i listened on the radio so didnโ€™t see it, I think that was part of the interest as I didnโ€™t know what she looked like but imagined she was young (which she clearly is)

im not saying I agree with Trump et al - but I liked her bluntness of reply, if she wasnโ€™t going to answer the question she said Iโ€™m not going to answer that rather than pretending to then not which is what I find our UK politicians do. When questioned on his actions she simply replied that was in his pledge so why are you surprised.

But she lies. And she's rude, unkind and truly horrible on occasion. I think you need to do more research before simply admiring her for one characteristic

She appalls me

Hobbesmanc · 25/02/2025 21:42

She's the mouthpiece for a man so blatantly careless with the truth that it's embarrassing. She has no sense of honour or integrity and is part of the toxic rot in US politics.

Well said.

Like her leader, she is crass, vulgar and unprofessional.

She works for the American people, not for trump. But appears to have overlooked that.

Topseyt123 · 16/04/2025 03:15

She is patronising, arrogant and a total liar. She wouldn't know what truth was if she tripped over it in the street.

She's a mouthpiece for the god awful Trump. One of his hand picked team. Need I say more?

Poison Barbie is a great moniker for her. Be careful about admiring her and set your bar higher.

NancyWTF · 16/04/2025 03:05

And she is a lier, and lies more, lies with confidence. Agreed with the poster: zero honor, zero integrity, zero ethics. I don't understand how these people live with themselves.

knitnerd90 · 16/04/2025 02:49

She's a lying liar who lies, and the reason she treats the press so rudely is that they know she's lying.

The main thing to know about her is that she lies. As a mouthpiece for Trump, she's obliged to lie. Any decent American despises her.

Her supposed confident/bluntness is just a weapon against journalists seeking truthful answers.

Sadly yes, you are wrong ๐Ÿ˜‚. She isn't blunt - she is downright rude. Just listen to her when someone dares to ask a question she hasn't already been tipped off about. She is definitely her master's voice.
