I would like to know who covered this up, why they did this, and who they were afraid of being implicated.

I have a friend who is retired from the police. In their experience, social services only reported children missing from ‘care’ homes so the police had to give them a lift home when they called to return back to the ‘care’ home.

Any attempts to determine where these minors had been, who gave them drugs, alcohol etc and if there had been any sexual activity were brushed away by the ‘care’ staff who refused to cooperate with those enquiries.

Said ‘care’ staff just stated that they couldn’t force the minors to speak with them or be medically examined and they couldn’t prevent them from leaving the ‘care’ home at any time.

F all ‘care’ for children who were supposed to be in care.

Yes. Normally governments who want to look like they are doing something when they don't. Luckily the current government not doing that and is ignoring some drugged up narcissist and implementing the current enquiry instead of spending time and money finding out something everyone already knows- that the reasons this went on was that the police and social workers were not only scared of being called racist but were also classist and misogynist, and didn't bother about girls in care They didn't treat those girls like human beings either.

Really? That’s convenient for lots of people then isn’t it?

It’s not. Inquiries cost millions and require teams of experts. There aren’t the resources to do both simultaneously.

I don’t think asking for an enquiry is the same thing as asking for the recommendations to be ignored.
I think it’s possible to implement the recommendations AND to conduct an enquiry into the cover ups over this scandal

He has asked for an enquiry - But that doesn’t mean he’s demanding the Jay recommendations are ignored which is what you claimed earlier?

I fully accept that he doesn't know what he's talking about and is parroting something Tommy Robinson said though. But I wouldn't put it past him to know that the Jay report also looked at online grooming and the role of social media companies in failing to safeguard children.
