Well as I have been saying, multiple times on this thread, people need to be clear what they want an inquiry into.

Posters saying 'we need to find out how the gangs got away with it for so long' can just be pointed to 'there was a cover-up, things weren't reported correctly, race tensions, girls thought to be 'child prostitutes'' etc etc. There have been previous inquiries into child sexual exploitation, and grooming gangs, it would be silly to duplicate their work.

I was interviewing child victims 15 year ago and locking up offenders also. It really isn't tolerated these days.

Is that a bad joke? We know that the abuse of young girls by (primarily Pakistani Muslim) men was covered up for years and not even reported by the media because of fears of being seen as racist. Why would that mean we don't need an enquiry?

I wouldn't get in a tizz about it. It seems to happen a lot.

Perhaps I have a right to be agitated when people are trying to tell me incorrectly what I think and telling me off for posting on the thread topic.

Perhaps you should reflect on whether that is rude and distracting.

So you see, it is a misrepresentation of my position. And you are allowed to swear on MN, so if you find that distracting, perhaps you could try something more at your level like Club Penguin.

You maybe need to word things more clearly. The earlier swearing and rude name calling is also a bit distracting from any point you might be trying to make (which we can't remember now). Just saying.
