Dominic Cummings is Musk's informer

trapforsanta · 12/01/2025 09:02

It's been revealed in multiple media sources after much speculation that Dominic Cummings has been whatsapping Musk with strategies to undermine the UK government and our democracy. For a while commentators have been speculating that Musk must have a hard right UK informant, since he's not across any detail himself and really has no understanding of the UK or our political system himself (see his comments about asking the King to dissolve the government). He's clearly been radicalised by watching Tommy Robinson's videos, and now we discover it's Cummings up to his dark tricks again.

I don't think I've ever wished harm to another person but honestly I wish Cummings would just bugger off for good.

You said, and I quote, @OpheliaWasntMad"Which is why I am SO massively pissed off by posters on here who keep saying it’s all been sorted."
"You’re not the only one who holds these sort of patronising and dismissive views "

But I don't hold that dismissive view and I certainly don't think it has all been sorted. Yet you have named me and quoted me as an attempt to prove that posters (plural) do.

So you now are backtracking?

Well you were able to identify yourself from the anonymous and paraphrased quote I originally posted . So that’s quite interesting…You must have recognised the quote in SOME way…

But - fair play - I’m glad you acknowledge that more needs to be done.

Do you think Sarah Champion is being “silly”? (Silly is a rather old fashioned patronising word isn’t it?)

www.theguardian.com/society/2025/jan/13/labour-mp-sarah-champion-calls-grooming-gangs-inquiry

I already posted her call and my response to it as 'entirely reasonable' upthread.

And also pointed out that it probably wouldn't satisfy those who want different inquiries.

Oh don't get on your high horse

Try not to get agitated, @Hoppingabout

That's some good advice there.

Well as I have been saying, multiple times on this thread, people need to be clear what they want an inquiry into.

Posters saying 'we need to find out how the gangs got away with it for so long' can just be pointed to 'there was a cover-up, things weren't reported correctly, race tensions, girls thought to be 'child prostitutes'' etc etc. There have been previous inquiries into child sexual exploitation, and grooming gangs, it would be silly to duplicate their work.

Is that a bad joke? We know that the abuse of young girls by (primarily Pakistani Muslim) men was covered up for years and not even reported by the media because of fears of being seen as racist. Why would that mean we don't need an enquiry?

So you’re personally fine with having lies spread about you? I’ll make a note of that, thanks.

It wasn’t a lie @noblegiraffe

It was a paraphrase of the following conversation

We’ve been over this already .

noblegiraffe · Yesterday 21:59
I can't speak for other areas but given that schools have updated guidance, my assumption would be that other areas have too.
I don't know why you would assume otherwise.

ThePoshUns · Yesterday 22:16
You are right.
Policing and social services have policies and procedures around this and have had for some time.
I was interviewing child victims 15 year ago and locking up offenders also. It really isn't tolerated these days.
Posters on this thread are desperate to stir up racial tension, which is just what Musk and his friends want.

user243245346 · 13/01/2025 22:49

noblegiraffe · 13/01/2025 16:36

The mainstream media was afraid to report the grooming gangs for years and years. A documentary was postponed until after an election. It was covered up for years due to fears of being called racist or far right.

Given that we know all this, why do we need an inquiry to find it out?

Oh don't get on your high horse. I've been called "far right" by name on this thread and as far as I'm aware that's not true. I always thought I was boringly centrist. Others on this thread apparently know better.

Perhaps I have a right to be agitated when people are trying to tell me incorrectly what I think and telling me off for posting on the thread topic.

Perhaps you should reflect on whether that is rude and distracting.

I wouldn't get in a tizz about it. It seems to happen a lot.

I worded my post perfectly clearly. She decided to mix my post together with someone else’s post to try to say something I didn’t say.

There are new safeguarding rules in schools - we don’t need to talk about this any more”

First bit is a paraphrase of what I said, the second bit isn’t.

So you see, it is a misrepresentation of my position. And you are allowed to swear on MN, so if you find that distracting, perhaps you could try something more at your level like Club Penguin.

I assumed you would reply with something constructive and see.. you did. Let yourself down at the end a little perhaps but otherwise not as agitated as usual which is good.

Well that’s a head scratcher, who knows my position better, me, or some rando on the internet?

You maybe need to word things more clearly. The earlier swearing and rude name calling is also a bit distracting from any point you might be trying to make (which we can't remember now). Just saying.

Absolutely right.
And I have friends with similar experiences.

Which is why I am SO massively pissed off by posters on here who keep saying it’s all been sorted .
“Clearly you know nothing about the improvements since Rotherham “
”There are new safeguarding rules in schools - we don’t need to talk about this any more” 🙄

Never mind all the accusations of being racist / far right/ ignorant

Edited

For clarity - this is one of the posts I was referring to “ Policing and social services have policies and procedures around this and have had for some time.I was interviewing child victims 15 year ago and locking up offenders also. Right, so now we’ve established that it was me you were paraphrasing I can reiterate that you have misrepresented me.

I was also paraphrasing another poster …
And I think other posters can decide for themselves if you’ve been misrepresented.

noblegiraffe · 13/01/2025 21:24

OpheliaWasntMad · 13/01/2025 21:24

Anyway - I’m not going to engage any more. I’d rather this was about the topic in hand .

OpheliaWasntMad · 13/01/2025 21:23

noblegiraffe · 13/01/2025 21:21

”didn’t name you”

Oh for goodness sake ! You said I was lying . I’ve given you some evidence. I didn’t name you AT FIRST but then you accused me of lying.

OpheliaWasntMad · 13/01/2025 21:21

noblegiraffe · 13/01/2025 21:19

You literally put our names after each quote.

Are you well?

Yes - obviously 🙄
Because you accused me of lying- so I felt compelled to find the actual quote and name so I wouldn’t be accused again of lying.

Im quite well - thanks for asking -( you’re very good at this patronising thing aren’t you?)

noblegiraffe · 13/01/2025 21:21

OpheliaWasntMad · 13/01/2025 21:19

It’s no about you . Or your “position”.
I didn’t name you. I’m talking about a general complacent and dismissive attitude on this issue.

You have not paraphrased my position, because that is not my position. I can tell you that’s not my position and that you are misrepresenting me because I know better than you what my position is.

You’ve tried to tell me what I’m allowed to post on this thread (and outrageously suggested I don’t care about child abuse because I wanted to discuss the topic of the fucking thread) and now you’re trying to tell me what I think.

And you wonder why I’m being dismissive.
