Dominic Cummings is Musk's informer

trapforsanta · 12/01/2025 09:02

It's been revealed in multiple media sources after much speculation that Dominic Cummings has been whatsapping Musk with strategies to undermine the UK government and our democracy. For a while commentators have been speculating that Musk must have a hard right UK informant, since he's not across any detail himself and really has no understanding of the UK or our political system himself (see his comments about asking the King to dissolve the government). He's clearly been radicalised by watching Tommy Robinson's videos, and now we discover it's Cummings up to his dark tricks again.

I don't think I've ever wished harm to another person but honestly I wish Cummings would just bugger off for good.

I suggest that there are a lot of people in Politics currently betraying their country

You keep bringing it back to whether Musk truly cares about the grooming gangs and to whether ordinary people think he cares …
Its bizarre…
Does Starmer truly care ?
I don’t know to what extent any of them are motivated solely by their own political agenda.

Does it matter if Cummings gave Musk the information? Not to me..
The point is that the information about grooming gangs that Musk has been tweeting is, horrifyingly, true .
But some posters just don’t want it discussed or addressed. Just as Rotherham councillors ( and so many others ) didn’t want it discussed or addressed.
BTW - did you read the report on Rotherham council I linked earlier

I posted this earlier on the thread to a different poster

"What you seem to be doing is picking out a bit of the message that you agree with and just focusing on that, ignoring the whole rest of the message and what is going on.
'Tear down the UK government, the UK is on the brink of civil war, the government are complicit in mass rape and are apologists for genocidal rape and a danger to children, particularly Keir Starmer, this dreadful grooming scandal happened on his watch and he is complicit, watch this video from Tommy Robinson and free him from prison, vote Reform, but not with Farage at the helm because he had the audacity to disagree with me'.
And your response is 'great, finally someone is talking about the grooming scandal'."|

It is entirely reasonable to want to talk about the rest of the stuff, particularly on a thread about Musk and Cummings without you trying to shut down that conversation with 'oh so you don't care about the grooming gangs'. Piss off with your attempts to try to control what I am talking about when it is entirely on the thread topic.

The very same people who were demanding another public inquiry into the grooming gangs, knew that they were risking killing a bill on children’s welfare and reform.

I think it's worse than that. I think they'd have quite liked to kill the schools bill because it rolled back a lot of Tory policies around e.g. academisation.

However, they also knew that Labour would be whipped to vote for the schools bill to get their legislation through even if Labour MPs individually wanted another inquiry. They knew that it could then cause trouble for Labour (which is has done) by allowing the painting of them as 'blocking an inquiry' and 'supporting Starmer's cover-up'. It was an incredibly cynical move on the part of Badenoch and I actually find it quite disgusting, given then death threats and abuse that have been aimed at the people who voted for the schools bill as a result. Badenoch would have known that would be the outcome.

I find the deflection, minimisation and obfuscation on this subject disgusting

Like the poll said, only a tiny minority of people think that Musk actually cares about the victims. Ordinary people don't believe that he cares. I don't think it was Cummings who told Musk about the grooming gangs either. Musk has been tweeting about Tommy Robinson for a while, which links with the Southport riots and the people jailed over tweets - that's where the grooming gangs stuff info has come from, in my opinion. Cummings also isn't stupid enough to have directed Musk to Tommy Robinson. Like Farage, Cummings knows that isn't going to go down well with the British public.

And he just swoops in a stirs it up as makes people feel more hostile to authorities and institutions who are trying to improve but can only do so slowly.

@Pleaselettheholidayend why can these authorities and institutions only improve slowly?

It was particularly disgusting in light of the fact that as leader of the opposition she failed to condemn Musk’s disgraceful comments and lies about Jess Phillips.

Yes . But the information Cummings has passed on is true. If the scandal wasn’t properly dealt with then that’s on the people who should have dealt with it .

The enquiry was not wide ranging enough. It was far too narrow. If some people think that looks like a cover up then attempts to further shut down debate start to look very suspicious.

People with views like yours are making it easy for thugs like Tommy Robinson to say “they’re lying to you” . Because you’re contemptuous of ordinary people.
You've sneered at the ignorance of ordinary people who , in your view, are too naive ( unlike you) to see what Musk is up to.
Im not naive about Musk . I just want a full and transparent enquiry.

@OpheliaWasntMad To request for more public inquiries on this is totally valid. The Jay Report took 7 years and cost £200m and I understand why it might not be considered wide enough, but I think it’s also a good indicator of the scale of these investigations. The main reason it took so long is because of the incredibly difficult experience it is for victims/survivors, so their wellbeing has to be at the centre of it and this essential care takes time. It doesn’t mean it can’t be done, but the conclusions won’t be reached for years. In the meantime, we need to act on the 20 recommendations of the report that’s already been done.

Nobody is blocking further inquiries - Starmer and Jess Phillips have stated in parliament that if the victims want another inquiry then they can. The demand for another inquiry last week was brought last-minute by a the Tory party (who took no action on the 20 recommendations from The Jay Report when in government) as an amendment to a children’s bill on welfare and reform - an amendment of an inquiry would have killed that bill (and wouldn’t have led directly to an inquiry). The bill had much needed measures in it, such extra powers and policy to help protect children taken out of school like in the horrendous case of Sara Sharif. The very same people who were demanding another public inquiry into the grooming gangs, knew that they were risking killing a bill on children’s welfare and reform. They can call for a public inquiry separately and/or they could have acted on the one they had done when in power.

Edited

Thank you . I absolutely agree that we need to act in the recommendations as a matter of urgency and I understand that enquiries are expensive and take time.

re “Nobody is blocking further inquiries”

I was answering @ThePoshUns who said
“There is no light to be shed in grooming gangs unless you have lives without reading a single newspaper for the last 15 years or so.
There is no need for further enquiries either.
Men have been prosecuted and are still under investigation for these abhorrent offences.”

@ThePoshUns

"Andy Burnham is trying to capitalise for his own gains."

I personally do not support a second inquiry and would much prefer that the urgent recommendations of the Jay inquiry were implemented first. Something that has not happened for 2.5 years (2 years under the Tories and 0.5 years under Labour).

Indeed the Child Wellbeing and Schools Bill presented in December contained none of the Jay Recommendations. It was only this week thanks to the publicity generated by Musk's posts that Yvette Cooper promised to now include one of the Jay recommendations that "those who cover up or fail to report child sexual abuse could face professional or criminal sanctions".

Now turning to the Andy Burnham trying to capitalise on this topic for his own political gains maybe he is. But equally I believe that Musk, Farage and Badenoch are trying to capitalise on this topic for their own political gains. But it would be incredibly naive to think that the down playing of this topic by Starmer and the Labour Party are equally not for their own political gains.

But what really matters first here is that the recommendations of the Jay inquiry are implemented as soon as possible.

Once that is at least in motion the discussion should (but won't be - because it's a vote loser for Labour) turned to the institutional negligence/ cover up / ignoring by local authorities, local politicians, local police, social workers, children's homes, media etc that allowed this horrific organised gang rape of children to go on for so long unchallenged.

Absolutely agree with nearly all of that.
I would like a second enquiry to pick up on the shortcomings of the first but I would absolutely accept the approach you’ve outlined.

This isn't about Cummings giving Musk information about grooming gangs, it's about Cummings (allegedly) feeding Musk information about various things that he thinks Musk can use to destabilise the British government.

@ThePoshUns

I know you want us all to close our eyes and shut up 🙈
I wonder why? Is it just because you hate Musk ?

“A year after Jay’s harrowing findings, a Report of Inspection of Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council in 2015 found that misplaced “political correctness” had cemented the council’s failures and that it was very much still in denial about the full scale of the horror. In fact, 70 per cent of the councillors (including those in the cabinet) disputed Jay’s findings. One councillor stated: “I struggle to accept the number [of girls found to have been abused] but I’m not a mathematician.”
You can throw all the money in the world at these inquiries but no good will ever come from them until we accept that a sickness engulfed our politics, police and media — keeping many chapters of this story hidden. Patience for statements like Champion’s has worn thin.”

Same with the elites/political establishment. Always problematic to draw attention to paedos, as they're all at it the higher up you go.
