Dominic Cummings is Musk's informer

trapforsanta · 12/01/2025 09:02

It's been revealed in multiple media sources after much speculation that Dominic Cummings has been whatsapping Musk with strategies to undermine the UK government and our democracy. For a while commentators have been speculating that Musk must have a hard right UK informant, since he's not across any detail himself and really has no understanding of the UK or our political system himself (see his comments about asking the King to dissolve the government). He's clearly been radicalised by watching Tommy Robinson's videos, and now we discover it's Cummings up to his dark tricks again.

I don't think I've ever wished harm to another person but honestly I wish Cummings would just bugger off for good.

An interesting piece today in the Byline Times on the Cummings and Musk (unfortunate name combination) allegations, for anyone who might be interested.

@Hoppingabout

"Musk is certainly not in it for clicks or money. He's a disruptor and wants to break everything and see what's left. Whether or not he succeeds is another matter."

I completely agree- he's got more than enough money and more than enough publicity.

Definitely a disrupter and would like to change world politics. Changing it to what exactly, I don't think even he has a clear idea but changed.

If find it difficult to describe Johnson as the great strategist. He was lucky enough to have an opportunity to bumble his way into No.10 when the Tories thought bumbling might be more appealing to the public than being a technocrat.
He's a fucking clown. A lucky one.

Musk is in it for the clicks and the money that follows. And he knows that drawing attention to the things we don't like to talk about will get both those things.

We have a complete absence of charismatic leadership on the centre left. All we have are eejits who are afraid to face down noisy demographic groups. These groups believe that men can be women that child abuse isn't that big of a deal and that rape and kidnapping babies is an act of resistance.

None of that explains your strange comments that if the media were afraid to report it that means there is no need for an enquiry.

I didn’t say that.

Do you think that it is still true that the media are afraid to report it and that people are afraid to talk about it given the mass media coverage and the television programmes?

I think Musk has now made it very difficult for this issue to be brushed under the carpet as has happened in the past

Communication can happen, as long as it sticks to whatever the rules are

But WhatsApping isn’t banned

Blair still likes to tout opinions, he probably gets paid to offer advice to those who stump up a fee

So does Major - I don’t imagine he charges a fee - and he’s usually the voice of sanity. Neither of them, however, seek to destabilise the UK government.

Boris relied on Cummings for all his strategy so going to Boris for advice would be “hide in a fridge” “ruffle your hair” “say something in Latin” “do a comedy panel show”.

An ex-prime minister seeking to destabilise the country would be quite a big deal though.

Apparently, these allegations come from ‘top Tories’… So no confirmation at all, but an interesting and relevant update in relation to the OP’s post.

I read the article - there’s an awful lot of ‘rumours’, ‘they believe’, ‘said to be’, ‘suggestion’, ‘supposedly’ and so on.
As for coming from ‘top Tories’, without any actual names the story is meaningless.

I don’t think it’s entirely serious.

Isn't this the one of the main issues that stopped people helping the girls though? People were afraid to be called racist or that if they properly tackled these behaviours or even reported on them then that would encourage racism.

Imo we should firstly be protecting vulnerable children. The race or religion of the perpetrators should never be a reason to ignore child abuse or sex crimes. Yet many are continuing to try to stop the investigation into these horrendous crimes by saying that doing so is "far right" or racist or will encourage racism.

It's the same as certain LGBT Youth groups (publicly funded) in Scotland got away with abuse of children- people were scared to criticise in case they were called homophobic.

We need to stop that imo. Gay men, Pakistani men, etc who abuse children should be treated the same as everyone else who does so. Safeguarding should come first.

Yes I agree

Sherbs12 · 14/01/2025 10:53

Just an update on the thread title and the OP’s post - there is now speculation (I’ll link The New European below) that it is perhaps Boris Johnson, rather than Dominic Cummings who is in contact with Musk. Apparently, these allegations come from ‘top Tories’… So no confirmation at all, but an interesting and relevant update in relation to the OP’s post.

"Well as I have been saying, multiple times on this thread, people need to be clear what they want an inquiry into.

Posters saying 'we need to find out how the gangs got away with it for so long' can just be pointed to 'there was a cover-up, things weren't reported correctly, race tensions, girls thought to be 'child prostitutes'' etc etc. There have been previous inquiries into child sexual exploitation, and grooming gangs, it would be silly to duplicate their work."

This makes no sense at all. There have only been small very limited scope enquiries into grooming gangs and not a single person in authority has been held accountable. There has been no enquiry looking into why there were at least 50 instances of these gangs nor any on why so many in authority covered it up and have not been held accountable.

None of that explains your strange comments that if the media were afraid to report it that means there is no need for an enquiry. Seems to me that if the media are afraid to report and people are afraid to talk about it then there is all the more need for an enquiry.

“And also pointed out that it probably wouldn't satisfy those who want different inquiries.”

And I do get your point that there are people who have their own agenda on this and want to use this scandal to make a racially divisive political points.
Race is one aspect that needs to be explored ( but in the sense that it stopped police etc from acting because of fears of being called racist)
but I will argue against anyone who uses this scandal to promote Islamophobic rhetoric. The vast majority of Muslims are as horrified as everyone by this.
Im Catholic and we had our own issues to deal with.
I want an enquiry and I DEFINITELY don’t want to give Tommy Robinson any ammunition to use against any the government re cover ups .

If you’ve got a link I’d love to read it.

AlisonDonut · 14/01/2025 09:46

I want to know how a judge who was caught with an underage 'prostitute' was able to sentence that girl for being a 'prostitute' when he was the 'client'?

How? If anyone has a copy of the results of that enquiry/investigation then I'd love to read it.

It was never all about you . It was about a general attitude amongst some posters

It wasn’t about me at all, it was about a straw man that you concocted and put my name against.

Im glad you agree that more needs to be done

I never said otherwise. Glad that you have finally got your head around that.

There were lots of accusations flying around that posters were racist or far right etc for wanting an enquiry. That was my initial point. You’ve made it about you because you accused me of lying

I already posted her call and my response to it as 'entirely reasonable' upthread.

And also pointed out that it probably wouldn't satisfy those who want different inquiries.

I also think her call is entirely reasonable.

“There have been previous inquiries into child sexual exploitation, and grooming gangs, it would be silly to duplicate their work.”

You are stating the obvious. It would clearly be pointless to do exactly the same as previous enquiries- particularly when previous enquiries have been criticised .

Im glad you agree that more needs to be done .

You didn’t disagree with the PP who replied to you with “You are right.Policing and social services have policies and procedures around this and have had for some time.
I was interviewing child victims 15 year ago and locking up offenders also. It really isn't tolerated these days.
Posters on this thread are desperate to stir up racial tension, which is just what Musk and his friends want.”

Anyway - you agree that more needs to be done. Good.
Moving on …

Well you were able to identify yourself from the anonymous and paraphrased quote I originally posted . So that’s quite interesting…You must have recognised the quote in SOME way…

But - fair play - I’m glad you acknowledge that more needs to be done.

Er, because I was the one who mentioned updated safeguarding training in schools? I can remember what I've actually posted, you know? Although I've noticed that you can't.
