How can any Donald Trump fans think that he is intelligent?

Donald Trump has just done a big speech to Am fest turning point. He literally said that drugs are bad like fentanyl they ruin your face. They ruin your looks. They ruin your teeth and nobody has said that before and we are going to tell people that drugs are bad.
So basically, just like the just say no campaign that was there back in the day and of course people have as there’s literally pictures of people all over the Internet and every government has said this. This is what I mean. I want to know how people can think he’s so bloody original and intelligent saying stuff which is stupid because it’s already been said before.
The next thing he said at that speech how vaccines were linked to autism which we know full well that’s debunked then how he says how now it was like one in so many thousand people that had autism now it’s one in 36 but causation and correlation doesn’t mean to say that that’s to do with a bloody vaccines .
so yes I want to know how any Donald Trump fans can listen to any of this and think wow he’s so intelligent when he really isn’t?

I detest the man, but it's so naive to dismiss him as stupid. He doesn't have the cognitive or linguistic skills of even your average person, but he's shrewd, conniving and when you look what he's done, especially this time round, he's an incredibly sharp political operator.

No, I’ve heard so many things about him people close to him to say that he doesn’t even have the attention span of a gnat. I think the people around him are but not him. I think the people around him are quite dangerous.

I don't think anyone believes he is intelligent. He is just wealthy, powerful, and he validates all their worst impulses.

Many politicians treat politics like theatre, which it is in some respects but Trump treats it as a panto. He speaks in layman's terms. Whether he's rehearsed or not, every time he talks it sounds like it's just flown out of his mouth with no prior notice to his brain.

This makes him relatable to people on a level most politicians just can't be. He's the other side of the coin to Boris Johnson whose buffoon image was all rehearsed to hide a cunning politician with an excellent education. Trump could quite simply be your uncle or your grandad (if you ignore his vast amounts of wealth).

And really, he's not making the big decisions. Not alone, anyway. He's enacting those decisions. Is he my choice? Not at all but I see how we've got here. His VP is much more well spoken and considered and will take the next presidency if the democrats can't get their shit together and change course.

And I think precisely what you’re saying is exactly why we’re doomed if you think he’s relatable with what he has to say when he’s talking like an idiot

I’ll tell you what though if you watch the video he’s very very obsessed with the fact that people think Elon Musk is controlling him. He looks a bit paranoid and a bit realisation that he can’t get rid of this Elon Musk. I think that’s gonna blow up soon.

Trump fans don't love him because they think his brain is the biggest brain, the best brain, we got the best brains here folks. They don't necessarily think he's as dumb as he's portrayed but "deep intellectual thinker" isn't his USP. Someone who will openly say "hang on, we don't have to live like this" and has the resources to make change happen is the appeal.

But it’s not radical it’s dumb as fucking rocks saying oh we’re gonna tell people that drugs are bad. Do you not think that’s happened before?
The whole autism debate with vaccines. It just goes to show that his type of voters are thick as fuck. Let’s not even be debating this because there is no autism link to vaccines. It’s all been debunked.

Have a listen to the Joe Rogan podcast, he comes across quite well in long format.

I have heard it before but what you think comes across quite well I disagree. He was in the long format with this am fest turning point the point is he saying stuff that isn’t quite true for instance saying we are now going to tell people that drugs are bad as if that hasn’t been done before.
When you start to break down, actually what he’s saying it’s not correct the whole autism and vaccine thing he has just said yeah sure that sounds like somebody having a normal conversation when you look into it there is no link that’s what I’m talking about

Quite simply because he is not. What he is a marketing figure that gives out simple messages to ordinary voters such as "Make America Great Again" (what does that even mean!).

He comes out with radical sounding stuff because voters are desperate for real change to the managed slow decline that they see across all western democracies.

He also represents a counter reaction to the perceived shift to the left / woke / trans etc etc that many ordinary people think has gone too far.

I have no idea. It seems that many people have completely lost their critical thinking skills. I'm in the US and do not looking forward to the next four years
