Some Trump supporters already feeling voter's remorse

I don’t believe those headlines for a second op, at least not as far as Republicans are concerned.

My experience since the election is that there has been a shift in Republican voters from a fear that the election would be stolen, to a feeling of hope and joy.

I know it’s really hard for people on the left to come to terms with, that people voted for Trump. That Trump is making some pretty ballsy appointments and is going to make some big moves that might alter the course of issues like immigration, war, net zero and gender identity, not just in America but that may cause reverberations all over the world.

I personally have high hopes and feel a lot better now than I did this time last month, and I’m not even America. But we’re going to the US to help celebrate in February after the inauguration.

The point is that Trump won and the voters are celebrating for the most part. It might make you feel a bit better to call those people names and think they are weeping now over their choice, but that would be a load of rubbish.

I am in complete agreement with you in that; the democrats completely screwed up. Doesn’t change the fact that in terms of governmental power the republicans have achieved a landslide- the house and the senate, and a deeply wounded Democratic Party.

Starmer got more seats with less votes because the alternative was utterly shite.

Starmer won a resounding victory over the Tories with less votes than Corbyn iirc, it doesn’t mean that his victory can’t be described as a landslide over Sunak- moot point as I said.

Well I'm assuming you decided not to vote for him then. And exercising your own vote is as much decision-making you get to do in an election. How anyone else decides to exercise their own vote is not your decision to make.

Why would a non-Trump voter want to change their vote? Even if, post-election, you decided you preferred him, he's already won. So changing your vote, even if you could, would have zero effect on anything.

A Landslide means getting the majority of the popular vote.
Trump did not.

What happened re the previous elections is a moot point. To deny that Trump won overwhelmingly is untrue and to imagine that dem voters would somehow wish to change their vote to add to that victory is nonsense.

But I had the same thought as a previous poster. How do you know the searches were by Trump voters? They could just as easily have been other voters.

To be fair, you wouldn't exactly put it on your CV that you'd voted for a rapist to have one of the most powerful jobs in the world. It's nothing to be proud of. Is it?

I remember when trump got in last time, lot of people in the USA were delighted. As he is the rebel vote. If you vote for trump you are sticking two fingers up at everyone. But then I remember after four years, they were all fed up of him!
