Dawn Butler racism just fine according to Labour

Well, didn’t take long for labour ministers to show their real beliefs did it. According to Dawn Butler, Kemi Badenoch is “a white supremacist in blackface” (with apologies to all for re-typing her massively offensive words). According to the lovely KS this is all just fine, nothing to see here, move along.

One rule for labour, one rule for everybody else. Again. Last time it was failure to declare gifts. This time it is blatant racism. How hideous this government is and what rank hypocrites.

Dawn Butler must have the whip withdrawn otherwise I don’t want to hear one more word from this racist government.

I've just googled Dawn Butler fully expecting to see a white woman. She is a black woman.

As a black woman myself this is different coming from another black woman, we are allowed to call out behaviour that we see as harmful to people of our own race. There are terms within black and other ethnic minority cultures to describe people of our own race who we feel are acting in the best interests of the majority race.

Yes you are of course I am clapping for your comment I am white and I agree with you

Agreed. There's something in the Bible about this from recollection. About a speck of sawdust in someone else's eye ignoring a plank in your own!

😂

Do you think someone should be leader because of the colour of their skin or their sex? Personally, I want the best for the job whoever they may be

But. somehow, for Labour that "best for the job" is always, always white and male.Hmm

@Nordione1 , whataboutery is the tactic of those who have no other argument and they think it’s clever! 🤣

I just knew a Labour MP was going to come up with something like this. As a brown woman, the most unpleasant forms of racism I've experienced (bearing in mind that I grew up in the 70s and 80s when there was overt racism) has been from left wing people at the university I work at. They can't stand it when a woman of colour doesn't stay and think in the place that the Left has carved out for them. I'm not even remotely right wing either, just left of centre and don't subscribe to critical race theory (or any other kind of reductive, blunt theory that lacks the ability to deal with issues in a nuanced way).

Dawn butler is black as a black woman she is entitled to say that . It's not ravism if it's from a fellow black woman I also think Dawn has a point. Uounknow the black republican senators or congressman I get them confused as british any way they lead very white areas because majority of black won't vote for them because they know they don't have their fellow black people's interest.
Guido can't remember surname worked for Boris stated that she kemi was picked because she can say stuff that fellow white folks can't so there we bloody go

It's obvious why Dawn and Labour are hitting back at Kemi Badenoch being leader. They will be furious. Labour - the party of woke have not had non white leader (Conservatives have had two) or a permanent female leader (Conservatives have had four). You might think that Labour, despite their self-marketing as being woke, are actually fairly bigoted.

Dawn Butler apparently re-posted (re-tweeted) a post by Nigerian-British author Nels Abbey, based in London, entitled: 'Warning: Seven Rules for Surviving A Kemi Badenoch Victory'. Abbey has, I think, indicated it was supposed to be sardonic and nuanced. I'm not convinced that Dawn Butler understood this. (This is a woman who believes in the gender fairies.)

Anyway she then quickly took it down.

Yvette Cooper isn't happy but says it's a matter for the whips.

The evidence is in the retweet that she has now deleted following outcry at her racism. It’s all over the news. What more evidence do you want @username7891? if the evidence of someone doing something that thousands of people witnessed isn’t good enough for you then I don’t know what to say because you aren’t living in reality.

I am not a Labour voter or supporter and find those words deeply offensive. However, she did not write them. She retweeted them.

Really? I would have thought Johnson's racism was hard to beat. Apart from sharing that Tweet, what other racist things has she said? I'm curious.

I’m not here to satisfy your curiosity and I suggest we deal with the current rank racist comment from the fragrant Dawn before we look up other racist things she might have said. Although feel free to google if you wish.

If she had said it I would expect the party to act It was someone else's tweet which she liked

Not quite, she retweeted it, therefore amplifying the message.

Tbf re the RR comment, inheritance tax is on death. Why should farmers not pay when every other eligible person does when they die. I take no issue with that (im also from a farming family) if its going into our dire public services then I'm all for paying taxes correctly

The dawn butler one..be careful not to get drawn into daily mail soundbites. The comment was awful and shouldnt be said. However she didn't say it . If she had said it I would expect the party to act It was someone else's tweet which she liked

According to Sky News, she shared the tweet, she didn't just like it.

The point of 100% APR/BPR is to stop part of a farm having to be sold each generation to pay death duty. 85% of family farms will fall into the IHT trap. I assume you don't own and run a farm yourself being so relaxed about it.

Cold.
