Will Trump Losing The Election Tip The US Into Another Civil War?

The riots he inspired in 2020 came close. I personally believe he'd incite a re-run of those terrible events, although I note that it transpired that he made sure his Secret Service bodyguard rushed him back to the safety of The White House once he gave the mob his blessing.

He's unhinged enough to do it all over again.

Short answer: No, I don't think it will tip the U.S. into a civil war.

However ...

1.I agree that he would try to incite a repeat, but I think this time Washington will be flooded with all kinds of law enforcement, preceded by a hyper-focus on monitoring suspicious websites. Even the first time, they did a good job of keeping weapons out of the area.

2.I'm not sure you're right about rushing him back to safety, unless you know something new from prosecutor Jack Smith's newly released court filing. To the best of my knowledge, he actually did want to stay with the mob. This was notable for me because for a long time, I said the opposite. I firmly maintained that Trump was too cowardly to stay with the mob and probably unwilling to make the long walk. It turned out that I was wrong. The SS wouldn't let him go with the mob - unless you definitely heard something different.

3.Yes, he's unhinged enough to do it again - and also so power-mad and so terrified of the prosecutions in store for him that another coup attempt probably seems like the only way out for him.
