Starmer son finds a quiet place to study for GCSEs

Can't berate Starmer for this but think some parents will be aghast.

Covent Garden is many things, but peaceful it is not. There is zero justification for this, bar human greed.

To those who say it doesn’t matter - it does. Politicians who criticise others for taking freebies and then do exactly the same tends to put people off politics and politicians. We need more people to engage, not less. We cannot afford to see any more of this attitude of taking because you can. Not paying because others give you what you want. It’s not good enough. People feel let down and rightly so. No one minds small gifts but this whacking amount when not even PM is not acceptable. Did anyone truly understand Starmer was doing this? I bet they didn’t before he was elected. Just like the WFA removal. It feels underhand and deceitful. Just what you expect a politician to do - and that’s the whole problem!

Given the way some children of Prime Ministers have been treated in the past, I think this is reasonable.

I agree with the Prime Minister's wish to keep his children out of the limelight 100%.

What do you mean that’s not what we are discussing.

We are discussing the (now) labour Party leader using his position to give his child an educational advantages and all the implications that come with it.

Including the fact that he believes that parents who can get their children an educational advantage should pay 20% VAT on top. So he should pay 4k in VAT for this educational advantage.

If Starmer is so worried about state schools being underfunded and privilege being bought, he too should pay VAT on all luxuries. With Labours flagship policy in mind, it would serve him and Labour peers well to donate with their aim front and centre, not blag what they can whilst in power. Surely it’s his moral obligation to pay VAT on all luxuries?
