People never fail to fall for pre-election promises every time. It's almost as if the policiticians have them where they want them.

This makes me so angry and upset. How can this be allowed to happen? How is this fair? Politicians are the most corrupt, heartless humans! Men and women! No morals, no empathy, not a care in the world except to gain more power, more money, more control and more friends in high places who're equally as corrupt.

We're £3 trillion in debt and spent £110 billion on debt interest alone last year.

The model is broken and will only get worse. It doesn't matter who is in power.

They have been in power just a few weeks.
However they have had several years, since Starmer took over to analyse the problems.
The first thing they do is take some money away from pensioners. Maybe some of that is justified, but there were few explanations. Symbolically it was not a good event.

I think it's a bunch of pissed off men (and some women) who are tried of having no one listen to their concerns, not being able to feed their families, being told that if they complain they're racists, and being abused if being the cause of all of it.

But don't you understand that people DO think this is what they've done? That's what I mean by a PR disaster. To be honest @BIossomtoes I was expecting them to tax the very rich, but it looks like they are not goong to do that. If the Labour Party won't, who will?

They could have done that instead of spending billions refurbishing the Houses of Parliament, which are no longer fit for purpose as a modern working building.

Build a big secure compound with accommodation, nasty public sector catering with no alcohol allowed like all other public buildings, replacement for the Houses of Commons and Lords, meeting rooms etc somewhere in the midlands near road and rail networks with everything provided.

Then make the Houses of Parliament safe and watertight and open up as a tourist attraction.
