A question for the ladies

Are there, or were there, any famous politicians that made your heart go thumpity thump?

Obama or Sunak (for as long as he lasted) or Trudeau, or.................... nah, not Trump.

Anyone else on the public political stage that makes your heart beat faster? From anywhere in the world?

A chipolata and a wardrobe key, lovely.

lol, who was it who said that about Nicholas Soames? That sleeping with him was like having a large wardrobe topple over on her with the key still in it 😂

Jacob Rees Mogg or however his name is spelt :-( I’m not proud of it. But I watched him in some round table debate things with EU reps and he spoke so clearly, so precisely and so eloquently. He was so direct and pragmatic. That’s a real skill, almost an art form. I felt I could watch him debate EU leaders forever. And if Britain had voted remain I probably would be.

🤣

Shoutywouty · 25/07/2024 15:41

Definitely Keir Starmer. There’s something about him..

John Prescott. Nicholas Soames. Mmmm.

A chipolata and a wardrobe key, lovely.

I'd love a night out with Boris Johnson. And that Manchester mayor guy is quite hot.

Scottish ladies my age may remember Tommy Sheridan in his prime with fondness.

Surprised not more votes for him.

Sounds grumpy again. Making a suggestion is telling you what to do??

Oh no, a random man thinks I'm grumpy.

SantaMariaMaggiore · 25/07/2024 15:26

Am considering Enrique Peña Nieto

ByCupidStunt · 25/07/2024 15:25

Zelensky for sure

Twoshoesnewshoes · 25/07/2024 15:25

I couldn’t though - EM- poor groomed wee lad

WaxingGibbon · 25/07/2024 15:23

I'd do Emmanuel Macron if it were an emergency

This has "smile, love" energy

Do you go round other websites telling people what to do, or just the mum ones?

I'd do him any day

Farage makes my blood pressure sky rocket (and my heart sink) every time I see or hear him. I can practically smell the eau de cigarette.

Bromptotoo · 25/07/2024 15:16

Fanny Gallops???

One to steal for use later.

Similar to hot to trot?

Whatever the opposite of thumpity thump is (ploppity plop, "oh god I've just been sick on the cat" etc) - that is what Trudeau does for me.

Can't think of a single politican I've fancied.

Are you Canadian?

This should be in chat, not politics. What am I saying, this should have stayed in your own head.

Don't be grumpy.

Sure, why not?

I'm a plain woman rather than a "lady" so I don't understand the question

You are still a lady.

This.

And also @MellersSmellers's response to Suella Braverman, though I suspect that wasn't the kind of thumpity-thump you meant, OP. More enraged ideologically-induced heart palpitations than fanny gallops.

Absolutely Kier Starmer.
